Actually, I think if the enemy is standing inside your smoke bomb, they don't count towards capture progress or contesting, meaning you start healing as long as they're in it. Odd mechanic.

Why did Scout get nerfed to 15% a while ago if Morale Booster is allowed to stay at 30% regardless? Yes it shows the enemies through walls, but that has hardly any value in a game like For Honor, where you spend 99% of your time playing on one of three zones or currently moving from one of said zones to another? Technically it also increases the amount of renown you get for a kill, but that doesn't matter when you have to be at renown level 4 to even activate it, and there's no reason to assume you'll always be the top of the scoreboard so the rest of your team could benefit from it. Lastly, a damage boost can outlast someone dying and being revived, but if they die with the debuff on them, the debuff is immediately removed, so you can at least potentially get far more mileage out of something like Morale Booster anyway. Scout should at least do 25% so it doesn't feel useless compared to other damage buff feats. Fear Itself is still at 50% and I don't see anyone complaining about that.

I kinda wish it had a second effect along the lines of eather increasing the movement and or capture speed of atleast the valk if not the team. Letting you act more easily on the info you will have on the enemy positions. Feels like a unique way of buffing it while keeping it's identity.

I just really don't see much value in knowing the enemy's position, I know people say that's good but in For Honor, information like that really doesn't do all that much for me. The maps take like 15 seconds to traverse, it's not like that'll ever change much.

I started playing during the beta, where GB's were super powerful because nobody could react fast enough. A month or so later, GB's already became much, much harder to hit, and shortly after only guaranteed GB vulnerability made them a viable option, kind of how it is today. Not once in my life, not even a single time, do I remember someone ever using slippery. I thought it prevented all GB attempts, but it turns out it only counters guardbreaks for you that you could've countered by yourself, as all guaranteed attempts still hit you just the same as before. It's an awful feat with absolutely zero use to it, and a level 4 feat at that, meaning it competes with some very powerful choices.

@@friendlyreaper9012 while that definitely would make it far more useful, I think it'd also make it incredibly frustrating to fight against at the same time. Besides, I think the feat should be entirely removed and replaced because it's simply a really boring idea either way. The same goes for Kensei's "unblockable", for example. Really useful, but really not fun to go up against in any scenario. That sorta thing shouldn't be the case, especially for tier 4 feats, which are supposed to be pretty powerful to begin with.

Wouldn't it be cool to have feats that can change heroes place in game? Like some sort of ''built''? For example - add more feats so we can choose and basically decide if we want to play more ''minion lane Kensei'' or more ''hold the point Kensei''... OR maybe even some sort of ''hunting other heroes Kensei''? There is already a really small difference between Vanguard/Hybrid/Assassin/Hybrid - that this can possibly ''fix'' that. I wasn't really thinking about it in depth, so if anyone can find out any problems with it - let me know!

JJ tier 4 feat is overlooked. It can function as a smoke bomb if you put the enemies on the edge of the deployment circle, it has a mad radius, instant activation and low cooldown.

@@wesleygaray2666 Use it on enemies that are fighting with your team. It becomes a nuisance. The thickness of the "wall" isn't that big, so enemies can keep getting flashed. It becomes super annoying if you pop it in a way where one of the edges is near a wall. I'd say that feat is more reliable then a smoke bomb in my case.

fiat flux is usually what i run with lawbringer with both grenade feats, the throwing animation is instant so the enemy has no time to react when hit with it whilst on the floor.probably not competetively viable though.

Didn't the devs announce feat changes at the start of Y4S2? What happenend to those? Or was it just the few healing nerfs? I think 3/4 of the current feats could really use some adjustments. Since this year only has two new heroes, I was actually very much expecting to see some changes in that area. Dominion and breach are the biggest game modes after all and both are very much influenced by the feats that are used in them.

I really wish they would change the aiming system for the longbow feats. I use to snipe in earlier seasons but since they twicked it hasn't been the same. Don't even use it anymore. Same with the fire flask and grenades, chunk them a full hundred yards from where you were aiming. Just horrid.

I feel like Rock Steady is another feat that needs a look at. I've noticed that every Shugoki and Aramusha I see uses it and it feels a bit cheap. I don't mind an opponent being immune to knock down by throws or even revenge parries, but I think being immune to wall splats on top of that is a bit much for a tier 2. I don't understand Ubi's priority with feats. Some lower tier feats are stronger than tier 3 and 4 feats. I do agree that insta-kill feats in general should be nerfed though. The only way I'd like to be killed instantly would be me getting thrown off the map (most of the time it's because of a mistake I made or poor positioning on my part anyway). Nailbomb, Spear Volley, and Last Laugh are probably the most annoying of tier 4's. Catapult, Fire Flask, and Arrow Storm can usually be avoided decently enough. Nailbomb can be avoided, but you have to be prepared for it and make sure nothing interrupts your dodge roll.

im pretty sure i have commented a mini-essay here that include what i think feat damage should be, had all the long bow type ones at like 30 damage, which is a free heavy but cant really go too low otherwise it will end up not doing enough to be worth the cooldown. One hopeful thing is Ubi at least seems to most of the time kinda watch what you put up, so maybe they will figure out that this is something that has to be addressed.

i think a topic of discussion should be the outdated class system. i still see quite a few folks even on the competitive subreddit hung up on the idea that certain moves and properties (such as dodge attacks on assassins and HA on heavies) should be class based, when in reality that design ideology was abandoned long ago for the most part. on top of this, renown gain bonuses based on class can really hurt some heroes based on their meta play style, most notably Shaman, an assassin-class best played as a ganker.

Centurion march should be centurion unique, be tier 4 and give infinite stamina or double it. Remember that doubling it would mean double the time to recover, so it wouldnt be that unbalanced.

I wonder if smoke bomb would be better off being completely changed. So, if you're caught in an enemy smoke bomb the following occurs: You can still lock on to opponents. Can't perform actions like, reviving or picking up banners/offerings. You're opponent's (whom you are locked onto) indicators are hidden whilst you're in the smoke. External indicators still visible. Smoke opacity reduced so you can still see animations but still some smoke visible. I think this would stop it being really strong and encourage players to study animations of the character they're fighting. It reduces frustration for the person caught in the smoke as they can still defend themselves, it's just harder to do so. Duration of smoke and cooldown times will likely need adjusting too but I think this works a little better thematically too. The user can attempt to overwhelm their opponent whilst in the smoke. Has to better than being completely blind though. 🤔

But Froze, Tainted Gift allows the Hito to get extra heals in Breach... as long as the captain you want to execute doesn't get killed by Pikemen, or other captains, or braindead teammates or you dont get hit out of it, or you dont die before the heal (I'm not giving up fast stam regen for the execute shield) Yeah Righteous Deflection is a better T2 for her. The way Ubisoft handles feats is mindboggling. They listen to feedback and overnerf a feat, leaving it useless since launch, or release an overpowered feat in its current state and think it's okay, such as with Mong's feats. A T1 feat that could completely remove someone's presence in mid and give you mid-dominance. I understand it's nerfed now, but Ubisoft did nothing with it before release unlike Rally Call.

Bomb feats were super balanced back in the day, they should be buffed again so i can actually play lb and not insta lose cause he's so garbage.

I have to say, I disagree with you here. What attracted me to for honor was the atmosphere. When the pre-beta footage was released, it was the gritty knightVvikingVsamurai world that really hit it with me. The campaign reinforced it, and the spectacularly detailed maps like citadel gate gave me the taste of a world that has so much lore, history, and purpose. I think it was never meant to be a straight-up fighting game. It was supposed to be more, with a “total war” vibe that really made you feel like a legend. Powerful feats are a very important part of that. It’s in the name, “feat” In any other context, you hear/read the word “feat” and it calls to mind an impossible act of daring, something the ordinary person couldn’t do. If they had wanted them to act more as “perks” they would’ve just named them that. But again, I don’t think that’s what they were going for. Don’t get me wrong, the balancing of the game more towards a fast and balanced fighting game has definitely made combat a lot more fair, but it’s also taken a lot of the depth and immersion away. What’s the point of throwing a grenade if it only takes a third of the enemy’s Health and gives them instant revenge? When was the last time you called a catapult strike with all the conviction and authority of god down on your enemy? TL;Dr: broken feats were a feature, not a bug. The game is more balanced without them, but has less depth. And instead of their removal or nerfing, other aspects of the game should be tweaked to make feats more momentous, but less oppressive.

@@yungmalaria because it’s a consideration you have to take, something other than the base mechanic of “gon top heavy lol” It should be a tactical decision to use it, instead of a brain dead insta-kill. But it should still be powerful. I would argue that 60 outright damage is way too high, but it IS a firebomb, so the overall damage inflicted shouldn’t be much less if any. My point is that feats aren’t really being treated correctly anymore. They should be about changing the tide of battle, making the player feel like a hero. As of right now they feel cheap, they’re either insta-win buttons, or not worth the time, which I think Freeze expertly pointed out. It’s just jarring. Going from a perfectly sound and inclusive art-of-battle system, to “ima pull out this bow and whoever I lock onto fuckin’ dies” I’d like to see a more integrated and nuanced feat system, even makes projectile feats a pickup item like some of those in the campaign, which could add an entirely new aspect to dominion for example

@@nelsonrupiza7789 well I think there’s a difference between “immersion” and “realism”. For honor is definitely a fantasy setting. And where it used to be an RR Martin-esque low fantasy, (you know, larger than life heroes who do incredible things in an otherwise feasible world) with the introduction of shaolin, and jormungandr in particular, we have thoroughly transitioned into Tolkien-style high fantasy. I’m surprised we don’t have elves yet. And again, I’m coming from the perspective of for honor being a fighting game/ moba hybrid. If you look at for honor on just its merits as a fighting game, it’s not a very good fighting game. Likewise if you look at it strictly as a moba. What made for honor as a concept work, was that it blended the elements of both game styles into one, with a rich, compelling atmosphere and story. Take a look at Overwatch, another hero-based moba. It has instakills and was one of the most popular titles in the world. It still has a large, dedicated player base. I think a feat rework is in order, just like Freeze. I just think it should be handled in an entirely different way, with projectile/healing items being pickup consumables found around the map. Not only would it allow fine tuning in fight balance, it would also give devs an opportunity to add depth to 4v4s by placing the items in strategic points of interest, giving teams more tactical options and choices to make instead of “Boost home zone and hold B to win”

@@garrettswaim5649 Making feats a pick up item wouldn't solve any issues though. Matter of fact it would create more issues in the first place. Feats just dont have any place in this game. They just make balancing heroes in 4v4 harder. Also, why the comparison to overwatch? One's an fps where each character has a different ultimate and areas where each character excels at and the other is a 3rd person brawler where, even though theres more than 25 characters, most of them have the same mechanics and playstyle and those who don't have are usually garbage.

@@scraminqbanchy7162 It is that feat and it's most recommended pick for Warden so he can unlock the rest of his feats. You only use it on objectives and not for combat.

@@scraminqbanchy7162 Body count is useless if you aren't in a minion lane or decide to play any other gamemode. Conqueror is only good for boosts. They're all situational like this feat. Earning feats first can be the reason you win a match.

Freeze VIedeo on 100 % More Viable Moves Have to be Nerfed in the game ! After Standartization ( ALL Characters Same Speed ) CCU ( ALL Characters Same Damage ) There are Stuff that are 100 % More Than Others ! We Wont Tank about Health Pools That Are 20/30 % More :D Examples ! HL /Hito Bashes That give Heavy Attack but are same speed as bashes that give light ! Hence 100 % More Damage JJ Choke its still 60 % Stamina Drain + KD after CCU When they nerfed all to 30 % ! PK Zone its still a light attack ! All other 24 are Heavy's !! Why Noone Talks about those stuff !!

Honestly The Out of stam bomb for knights honestly just add 10 dmg so it kills minions and then i would pick it Since Warden despite a vanguard has absulutly shit Minion Lane Clear Even tiandi has his zone life steal and shield raider has elss stamina dmg n stuff but warden is just shit at minions lol That would make running body count actully useful (And for the amazing minion clear Severly Decrease its range its Fine to walk to minion lane lawbringers bombs are stupid anyways and i gotem rep 22 ik how bullshitty they are so yeah)

Some feats would really sync better with different heroes than the ones they're on now. Imagine Nukekubi on berserker, Come At Me on assassins, or Thick Blood on nobody.

If I recall correctly, spear storm was nerfed. And what did they do? Nerf the damage, and as it turns out, It can still singlehandedly end a teamfight. Just give it the catapult treatment already, ubi
