1:27 - A massive thank you to whoever asked for those extra customised display settings. Always appreciate being able to choose the look of controls, readouts and displays. Which will fit right in with the model of future themes and more customised displays and user keybindings, etc. I love that FL Studio is becoming more customizable as time goes on. Now users can even choose their preferred workflows, linear or nonlinear. This is the way forwards to attract more customers. Let users mold the DAW as much as possible to each individual's personal preferences.

i wish automation had frequency numbers for cut off and high cut. Like they have on ableton live. Instead of percentage. That would be way more accurate.

You can also set the value in plugin, right-click - copy value, then paste it into the automation clip. (might only work with stock plugins, but works in multiple places)

FL Studio whole sampling engine/system is 🚮 especially when compared to some other daws or something like Serato Sample. You have Edison, fruity slicer, slice x, new tone, new time, fpc, plus chopping samples inside the Playlist and using the channel rack pitch and time stretch functions. It's just a BIG MESS. I still don't know why imagine line hasn't fixed this yet. After using serato sample for the past year it really made realize how cumbersome sampling in fl is.

Wish they would fix the overdubbing issue when recording along with previous audio recordings. I don’t want to have to drag it to a new track and then assign that to a new mixer slot 😐 it’s super tedious especially when you’re trying to work fast while recording, or if your layering vocals and guitar and want to just keep recording. They should at least make an option for it. !!!UPDATE!!! I messed with it a bit and I found a way you can punch in like pro tools with out having to mute the previous track or having to make a new track!!! If you wanna record stop and pick up where you left off, record vocal stacks or layer vocals without recording your previous takes into the new one, have your options like so “This first part is important! On your record options do the recommended External input only for some reason having it on anything else will record your last take with the new one, this is also important! for Monitor External input, have it OFF! This keeps you from hearing yourself twice coming out the master track, now all that’s left is choosing your recording style, if you’re looking for punching in like protools or if you’ve done a verse now you wanna add some adlibs real quick, go with blend recording that way you can hear your last take and rap along with it or punch in on a line of a verse or if you doing vocal harms you can listen to the previous note and record along with it to harmonize!! Or if you keep getting stuck on one part but wanna keep going at it till you get a good take do loop recording and it should mute each take for you like normal” It took years to get hear but god dammit recording in FL is finally work flow efficient especially with the assign audio track feature that automatically groups all your recording takes to one track!! This shit is so lit and it’s only going up from here 😭😭😭🙏🏽🙏🏽

I load up FL Studio and it tells me there is an update. I also like it that I can download Flex sound packs. The pirate version might give you all the full plugins but legit version gives you so much more. I bought it after being a pirate for years and its worth it.

Hey can you do a video just on the new pitch shifter plugin? Showing how it processes different types of audio. I haven’t found many good examples of it being used for things other than single sounds and not shifting an entire song

You have to make it an audio track before: Rightclick the track > Track mode > Audio Track > choose an empty insert

You forgot 1 important feature....the ability to save playlist tracks via drag n drop to and from browser, with all their linked properties ofcourse i.e color, automation, mixer and vst plugins..... Ill give you a min to think about that.............ok, you'll be able to use it for bouncing audio and storing the original to save cpu OR to use it in another project. Think about the sound design sessions, the possibilities, the library of sounds and patterns you'll have.....

What do you mean with "switching it to a diffrent column"? Does it do the same if you turn off "Auto select linked modules" in the Options > General Settings > Miscellaneous?

You should post feature requests in the forums of Image Line to reach them... Note panning for VSTs cannot be done the same way like with native generators... you need to use a Midi CC for that... But changing velocity for 3rd party VSTis was always possible already... You just have to take care that this VSTi actually reacts to velocity changes which is not always the case by default....

Just updated to the official 20.9. I'm having a serious issue where the playback keeps being interrupted when I'm auditioning sounds from the file browser. Anyone else having this problem? It's really annoying!! I'm on Mac. I wasn't having this issue before I updated.

You have to link your tracks as audio or instrument tracks to make it work this way... Cloning just playlist tracks clones just that...

Many commercial software got populair because of pirating. I think FL Studio has gain a lot of paid users thanks to pirating. Many great producers of today once started with a pirated version of FL Studio or any DAW for that matter. I don't say pirating is good, I just say don't worry too much about it, it's just a part of the ecosystem. Best form of marketing too. And besides only peoples you affect are the paying customers that has to go through "activation" processes and all errors that comes with it. I'd wish more companies would go the "Blender Model".

Yes and no... I am with you that a pirated copy can vastly enhance the popularity of a certain software... But then has to come a point where as a company I have to force as many people as possible to buy... And that´s what we are seeing now... I don´t think FLS needs any more popularity 🙂

@@toavnwub Sorry, but this isn´t right... If you do the same routing inside of Patcher like you would with individual tracks the multithread performance is maintained... According to the dev Patcher creates a bit of a CPU overhead but it´s multithreaded like individual channels...

Some plugins add some latency and pdc compensate it. Why you want to avoid pdc? Seems not a good idea, your sounds will not get synced without pdc.

@@franciszekdzwonowski53 you can't avoid the latency. the audio driver add some latency anyway. without this delay the audio will sound very sluggish and unpleasant, you can test yourself. the pdc only compensate adding some latency to other tracks. I dont get where is the problem. technical things that you cant avoid ;)
