Hey mate, been using FL since 2011 but only really got back into it this year. Your tutorials for each plugin are probably the most informative and easy to follow ever made, thanks a lot for your work. Plug-ins have come a long way and it’s so clear you don’t need to spend hundreds on third party plugins any more! Cheers man.

You just unlocked a whole world for me. Picked up a wa-273 which has 2 preamps and independent eq’s. I just took a mix I was working on into a session and sent the mid through one side and the sides through the other and then was able to do mid side processing on my 273. It almost sounds like I have a console it sounds so good! Thank you for all your help through the years!!!

I've been using this plugin for years but didn't know most of these tactics you showed us in this video. Thanks for expanding our knowledge man!
@spcraftsman26563 жыл бұрын
It's quite a neat little plugin. Its effect can quite easily be replicated with multiple plugins and sidechains, but it would take some extra resources, so I believe it is quite a helpful plugin to keep in mind when mixing, especially when you can't afford to use more resources than you absolutely have to.
@howard5558 ай бұрын
i thought real hard about it, and i finally understand how the mid-side separation works. if we have equal (R) waveforms on each speaker, that creates a mono track of (R). if we have equal (L) waveforms on each side, that creates a mono track of (L). combining the two gives us a pure mono signal, and side-chaining the difference gives us a pure stereo signal. 🙌

as far as I know you can use phase dial in complex with delay dial. First you widen up your signal with Delay to your taste, than you switch master to mono and start to twist Phase dial until you start to hear the low end you've missed before. Hope that's helpful. And thank for the video btw, didn't know about midside split:)

That's super cool, I never knew Stereo Shaper could function as a send signal, and send just the side information to a separate FL Mixer Track. I had always done it more complicated by adding a Fruity Send Track on the original Mixer Channel, and then applying the Stereo Separation on the receiving end track. You know so many useful tricks. Thanks ITM!

Perfect video and perfect timing. I was struggling with my tracks being out of phase and now with this stereo shaper, Ive been able to get a track back in phase, in seconds. ONG! it changed my whole game. Phase issues are no longer a big deal for me. Stereo shaper will fix any and all of that. Would have been nice to do a video to show how we can use it to fix phase issues, showing a demo. I may do it myself 😃 🙏🙏✨✨

Dear In the mix ! I follow your channel and from the Swedish jury (=me) you get 12 points ! I really like your vids, the clarity and understandability (is that a word?) of it all. I also like stereo widening tools, and I particularly like the sound from the free stereo tool from kilohearts, it just sound good and yummy. However, beyond that, sometimes in recordings I notice that a distinct sound may originate from a point not in the stereo field, but sometimes from behind, sometimes from the side, sometimes from some distinct point within the space of a potentially huge soundscape extending not just to the sides but far front and behind. When a record sounds like this, all sounds completely pops out of the speakers, and are emerging from different places in the soundscape - behind, side, far away, near, etc. And it is not just reverberation, or stereo sound, I mean sound source. This is enhanced by closing eyes when listening. If you can refer to what I’m talking about, I would reeeeaaaalallllly appreciate if you could make a video on how to mix/produce like that. Sample recordings, on speakers, not headphones, close your eyes.: Stefano Battaglia - Album Raccolto - disc2 - track 5 Pourquoi, track 7 Veritas (and more tracks) Pat Metheny Group - Album the road to you - track 4 Half Life Absolution (intro 0-2:30) What say you? /T
