He had a bass compressor surgically implanted to work in tandem with his his vocal cord processor, cuz he got it bad. If you look closely you can see the scar:) Either that, or he just got older... Hard to tell what's real on the internet these days...

These tutorials are amazing. I've been using FL studio for years now and things like automation clips are nothing new to me. So first I'm always thinking like 'mmh dont need to watch it, already know that.' but somehow i always watch them and always learn something new. i did for example not know about the smoothening tool of automation clips. i doubt if im ever gonna use it but its nice to know tho. thanks for sharing your knowledge and keep it up!

Thanks for this. My main issue was creating an automation clip and it was as long as my entire 8 min song and I only wanted to automate a short 10 second part. I had no idea just doing the loop point selection first would allow you to create a clip for just that selection. Good grief that tip will be saving me some time.

I think you should add that out in the playlist when you select the top bar above the playlist area(turning the area red) and it will create the autoclip inside the red area you have selected. This is very important and useful. I have totally changed the way I compose by selecting areas like this in the playlist and composing in that faction from intro to the outro.

Great Info Mike! Been an FL User for about 3 years so This video is a good refresher for me. Also I was so Inspired by your Video on the Audient iD14 that I'm Going to upgrade from my 2i2 next month. Could You do a video on recommendations on Mixing Headphones? I'm looking at the Beyerdynamic DT 880 But If you could give me your personal feedback that would be Splendid!
@inthemix7 жыл бұрын
Qwazarr I own both the DT 770 and DT 1990 Pro. I'm going to do a video specif to mixing on them but for now I can say they are the most accurate headphones I've ever used. 770s for tracking instruments and vocals and checking how the mix might sound on closed back headphones. 1990 Pro for a huge soundstage for very critical mixing. I really like both, they are different tools. I have yet to try 880s. I tend to mix a hybrid of speakers and monitors with a few car tests everybsp often. Some advise against this but my room isn't very well treated so often the headphphones give a better idea of what it will sound like to the rest of the world.
@qwazarr84537 жыл бұрын
That's Awesome. Thanks for the words of wisdom! I currently own a pair of Samson SR850's But I'm looking to upgrade even these. Probably will go with the 880's. I produce Future House music so its Important for me to get a pair of headphones that are flat and have decent but not over exaggerated bass. Also from your experience with the Audient iD14 , I know you said It was far better In A/D conversion than the 2i2 more clearer vocals. Do you notice a difference in your output signals sound? Do you get better bass response or clearer highs and Mid's coming from your monitors and headphones? Thanks aging Mike.
