For the spot where the old mansions were, I'd leave it as green space. Having a hill in the middle of the city like that reminds me of Calton Hill in Edinburgh. Maybe put the Observatory on the top? Bizarrely, Calton Hill even has a quarter of an acropolis on it as well as old naval buildings as it overlooks the coast much like your hill.

Definitely unlock the whole map so that when you implement metros they don't break. If you're using the 81 tiles mod but dont unlock all tiles any metro implemented breaks with time.

@@jmcdonald.1998 i remember alot of players that hadnt unlocked all 81 tiles but had the mod activated had issues with the metro stations and tracks getting deeper and deeper witj every save eventually disconnecting the track from the platform so metro lines would have to be redrawn all the time. Unlocking all 81 tiles before starting a metro system avoids this bug from happening.

Old Mansion Hill could be cool for an observatory! But I saw some other people comment a cementary, and as a ode to the 100 year old dead bodies in the mansions, that'd be pretty cool too

Happy to see this series back!! With the pier I would just "square" it up and make the area for the rides a little wider (as wide as the carpark section) so then you have just a little more room to mess with 👍 I'd also definitely look into the "brush" collection of assets on the workshop which have ploppable gravel, paving, concrete etc, I think the paving could look nice on the pier. Also more planter boxes / greenery might look nice. For the hill, I'd leave it as parkland and maybe do a hiking trail, or you could put a monument on it with a cable car, but I like the idea of it being relatively "greenspace" in the middle of the downtown! Excited to keep watching the series!!

That high point (old mansion district) would probably look great having a cathedral, maybe even with some manually placed cemetery around it. I think it would make that part feel more old town, like back in the day they would definitely have placed something like that there. And not the in-game one but maybe a nice one from the workshop, since you're getting more Ram anyway :p. Also the pier would look better in wood. I think the zoo, or national park, has a wooden tile asset you can use. ( didn't twodollarstwenty use that, plus the workshop rollercoaster? ) Oh and since BOB made a return, can't you use that to remove the ugly red/blue tile from the amusement park assets? You could make it more organic that way. Love seeing more of this, it was worth the wait :) though maybe the next one should be more soonisher.

hey james, welcome back. I agree that the concrete *is* too much, and the red-and-blue slabs, too. you could wait for the new dlc to come out before you edit the pier area, since it'll have pedestrian streets and plaza stuff. you could work on the population in the meantime, and the airport and the harbor afterwards. it'll be like the tram roundabouts.

Yeaaahahahaaaa! New Cities Skylines! Glad to see ya Edit: I've been playing with 16 gigs of ram. I only just yesterday upgraded to 32, the difference is wild, I can turn autosave back on! I only have like 600 assets though, but I've kept it low for a reason!

At ~ 37:00 when you dont connect the piers - Node Controller Renewal 3.3 now has the option to make the corners with edges so the annoying quay bend is gone!

Love the cargo yard idea. You could chuck in some warehouses and maybe a factory nearby too. I think it makes sense for some big factories to be nearby the city

since this city technically is for the airport DLC, maybe add a city airport as well as an international airport. Some examples are London City, Belfast City, Milan Linate, New York la Guardia All of these airports are focused on regional traffic near the city centre and work in combination with a larger international airport outside of the city area

I think a Jersey Shore styled boardwalk/pier would be awesome! The pier and boardwalk is built up around higher density/commercial inland areas and the boardwalk will stretch the entire length of the coast just as a walking path in residential areas with nothing on it besides maybe some bathrooms and a food stall occasionally. The commercial sections have hotels and clubs a few blocks inland, while the boardwalk and piers are very expansive with rides, arcades, bars, and smaller restaurants and shopping like ice cream and candy shops. Just a thought ☺️ glad you’re back!

In reference to the zoo looking weird if it were so hill-y, look up the Edinburgh Zoo XD I highly recommend avoiding it on hot or rainy days (great fun and awesome story but boy oh boy did my knees and thighs hurt afterwards)

I think that high spot at the end is good for a water reservoir. You don't need it of course, but a steep area that can't be developed easily is a classic spot for big water storage

A big rail yard/maintenance area would be really cool in that blank spot next to the cargo line by the low density mountain, and I think it would make sense because there’s lines coming in from multiple directions there, so the trains could leave their consists which would then get taken into the port for shipping.

Thanks for another fun episode! I have always loved this show and it's like we've never left ☺ 49:25 I would like to suggest something touristy and historic, like a cathedral, old coliseum or castle or perhaps even ruins. And I'm not sure what the english word is, but are there any leasure items in game with tables, chair and umbrella's for people to enjoy the view with some food for the beach area? The nightclubs and the hostel were good finds, they are supernice. Love the new pier! I think the left side of the big parkinglot (left if you look out to sea) could be an oppurtunity for more? I really like the hill with houses too. Those mansions on top make a lot more sense now that they are there, instead of where they once were. How is the land value up there? You have probably checked but I'd love to know. I can imagine it's through the roof.

All the Highschool Years content has been great but I'm super excited to see the return of Bowser Bay! Especially with the upcoming DLC. Also, I think there's actually a version of the terraforming network that doesn't give the flood warnings. I remember seeing it when I went to grab the original one and thinking that it would be a good solve for the festival island issue you had.
