Do you mind if i point out some rules for future? Just two things i picked up is that you pick up 2 cards if you fail to say Uno so its more of a penalty and second if you cant play a card and you pick up a card and the card you pick up is playable, then you can play it immediately. Uno is an awesome game. Once you know the base game well you can start adding the extra rules like fast card and such rules.

also with stacks you can put multiple cards in a kind of chain linked by color or number in your turn. for a really quick game. lol. Uno was the cause of a lot of fights in my house.

Maybe the rules are different here in the states but our rules state you can't end on a wild or other card..draw, skip, reverse ect. But you guys seemed to really enjoy this. I love uno!

Well, the ones I've grown up with are the following: 1. If a player fails to call UNO when he has only one card in his hand, he has to pick up 4 cards. 2. When played, the following cards give the player 50 points: The +4 Card The "Choose a color" card When played, the following cards give the player 20 points: The +2 The "Stop" card card The "switch" card 3. A player, if he/she wants to, may play more than one card at the time, as long as the card has the same value. With that I mean both (or all seven cards on the players hand) are cards with the value of 6 or perhaps +2. 4. Players begin with 7 cards on their hand. 5. When a player plays the +4 card or the "Choose a color" card, he/she will also call out a color of their choosing. Then the next player in line has to play a card of that color, or another +4 or "Choose a color" card. If the player plays a card of the color that has been wished for, he/she may play another card from their hand in accordance to rule 3. 6. If a player doesn't have any valid cards to play at the moment, he/she may draw a card from the draw stack. The first playable card he/she draws will have to be played. The player can then choose to play another card in their hand afterwards, in accordance to rule 3. A player may only draw 3 cards from the draw stack, if the player doesn't draw a card he/she can play, he/she keeps the three cards and the turn passes on the next player in line. 7. At the start of the game the players decide how many points is needed to win. The standard is 500, but could be extended in case all players believe the game has ended too quickly. 8. You can gain points in two ways. You can read about the first one in rule 2. The second way is the following: When a player wins the match, all other players must give the winner the cards they still have on their hands. The winner then adds the value of the cards, but in groups of 10. The player also rounds the sum of the numbers up if they are 5 or higher. For example: There are three players in total and one of them just won the current match. He then recievs the cards of the other players. He gets two 4s, one 2 and an 8, but also a +4 card. He then adds the 8 with the 2 and gets 10. Then he adds the two 4s togheter, and gets the sum of 8, he then rounds that number up to 10 as it's equal to, or higher than 5. At last, he also recievs 50 points from the +4 card. This results in him earning a total of 70 points (50 + 10 + 10) as well as any points he may have gotten during the actual match in accordance with rule 2.

Have you ever played Skip bo? It's from the makers who made UNO too, only Skip bo is so much more fun! My sister borrowed my Skip bo deck half a year ago and well... I haven't seen that game in over six months now.... That's how fun it is!

Well I just have to point out that normaly when you play uno, and you have like to cards with the same number, you can actually play them in the same go, and shift the colour like that. And if you play the 2 cards up card, and the next person do it to, the next person shall take 4 cards.

Both those rules are unofficial, many people play no in different ways. As long as everyone agrees, it's fine. In the official rules you can only put one card down per turn and +2's do not stack.

i gues you play diferantly becuse when i play uno the player that gets down to 1 card needs to say uno but if someone else says it before him/her that is when they need to draw. And if say i play a pickup 2 card and the other player plays one i need to pick up 4 cards(if we play 2 players)

Because it isn't an official rule. I used to play a rule where if it is the same card (colour and number) you could put them down together, but that's not in the official rules.
