If you hate flaggers so much then youre guaranteed an accident in a workzone and will possibly get yourself or someone killed. So if you want to put your life on the line as a driver and wanna face a semi head on thats your choice. The flaggers are there for a reason even if it takes a long time, the reason is someone might be in the road or its a work zone thats many miles long which often you seen in paving mostly but not always the case.

Even though I knew I should be stopping when the time came when the flagger had the stop sign up, the flagger still seemed to wave the sign at me. This is another example of why even though we would obey the rule of it, they still would make sure we are because too many construction workers get hit too often and not everyone of us are following the sign.

I was a flagger and at the time i was 18 and I gotta say its not the hardest job but the most dangerous. I had almost 4 close calls a week because of road rage or people not paying attention to the road. Please be safe out there everyone.

For all the. Angry drivers, Us flaaggers are not trying to inconvenience anyone!!!! Literally our job is to keep traffic flowwing,.... I think the crews have been amazing as well, they are so kind to us, they always tell us " let your traffic go" They really do look outfor us, and us for them!!!! We also love love love all our our homeowners who bring us coco, and sammies and snack bags filled!! They bring donuts and kind words, They brought us hand warmers and god knows what else :) We all appreciate you kind drovers out there !!!!

It’s more than a “misdemeanor” for ignoring a flagger. Your license will get 6 points taken off at least, If not suspended entirely. Good thing most flaggers have body cameras nowadays.

Yep ..... I live in Orlando and you saw stupid shit all the time . One night two cars were racing , one lost control and took out several members of a paving crew ....... I heard one guy was pretty serious but was recovering . Never saw any of the crew again ....... I hope they all got paid well !

I'm a WA state flagger, daily I have ppl try to blow my paddle or speed in my work zone the ones we manage to get stopped I tell them to look up RCW 46.61.015 there are 3-4 more RCW's I just can't remember right now. We had a guy blow my partners paddle almost hit the backhoe and me it took all of 15 minutes to get the call into pierce county police they said we needed to report it immediately and they wouldn't do anything about it we have a picture of the car and driver but because it took a few minutes to review the pics it was too late...

Try standing in one spot likely on concrete for 12-14 hours a day dealing with idiots on the road. 12-14 hours. If your doing other construction work at least your whole body is moving and you get a few minutes here and there to sit down. Flagging is the worst job out there.

I am a traffic controller and I will absolutely put that stop/slow paddle through your windshield to prevent you from hurting/ killing my crew and the crew I'm contracted to protect. We stopped you for a reason. How the hell do you know I'm not stopping you from running over a live wire that's fallen and frying out your car? You don't. We are backed and accredited through the state, and we will use that to the full extent. Understanding the need for some patience these flagged peoples need to understand people sometimes need to get someplace. I’ve seen flaggers using their 'job' as some kind of authoritative authorization to 'hold' traffic for no reason other than they can. One thing that irritates me is they’re supposed to be adults and should stay within the safety barriers they erect and not wander into traffic like unrestrained non disciplined children
