Edit: I'm not writing these mnemonics to compete with Jack, just to help people if Jack's mnemonics just don't seem to click with them. 4:07 I just made up a mnemonic on the spot and I like it quite a bit: the beginning of Qatar sounds a lot like Cut. Qatar's flag has so many more zig-zags/spikes than Bahrain. Or you can just think in your head that Q is more fancy/rarer than B, and maroon is more fancy/rarer than just red. So Qatar has the fancier flag because it begins with a more rare or more fancy letter. Edit: for the Tunisia vs. Turkey flag: Tunisia has a bit of the word "Tunnel" in its name, and Tunisia looks a bit like your looking into a deep tunnel.

The symbol on the Alaskan state flag is the "Big Dipper" constellation and the larger star represents Polaris, the North Star. Also, Montenegro is absolutely full of big flags! The upside-down German flag could possibly be Richmond Rugby Club, one of the oldest rugby clubs in Britain! Probably not though as they are not very big anymore.

That's the Big Dipper (also known as the Plough) and North Star (Polaris). @10:05 That is the flag of the Kingdom of Laos, used in 1947-1975.
