Champ 3 here, I have a very different play style than this guy but the advice is still useful. When it boils down to it Flakes preaches the same message about basically not being stupid in 1s. It is simple but very very difficult to integrate because that ball is just so juicy and ripe to hit for everyone. I find when you detach yourself from the ball and focus on observing what the hell is going on you will find yourself winning games much more easily.

What i love about Flakes’s playstyle is that its applicable from bronze to SSL. Obviously as u go up the ranks youre gonna have to improve your speed, awareness, mechanics etc. but the baseline strats of when to chall, fake chall etc. are universal. I feel like most pros straight up challenge more often than not, and although smart due to their experience as being pros, all us lower ranks see that they challenge and we try to emulate that but it doesn’t work out the same.

16:03, great job explaining the boost grab THEN fake challenge , then go back again to save the shot , rather than boost , give them space, then save. Great way of explaining it, made it crystal clear. Showing the correct way to play the interaction , using the goated pen tool, and showing us when to fake challenge, rather than "passively cucking back into net" XD
