flame blast is cool here but i think the slow fireball attack is what screws him. he's just way too vulnerable and the DPS doesn't seem good enough

@@dznutskong Honestly if he just did flame blast he'd probably win most matches. Except bombman, the slow fireballs were the only attacks that consistently beat him because he either jumps over the pillars or stands still.

Except in the case of Bombman, Flameman's Flame Wave defense seemed unmatched. If he just stayed in one place and just released the waves, Airman, Iceman and Fireman wouldn't have touched him.

I'm not too surprised at how poorly Flame Man did against most of them. In the later NES games the bosses were a fair bit easier, for the most part.

FireMan and Metal Man would for sure be on my team if I had to pick 5. Metal Man does a good job of jumping high while countering with his blades, and FireMan just OBLITERATES everyone as usual like an absolute demon 🔥🔥🔥

It seems to me that Flame Man is held back by his own stupidity. His flame pillar attack is powerful and basically nullifies Air Man and Fire Man's attacks with its height, range, and ability to deflect attacks. However, instead of bunkering down and pummeling them with what are basically long-range fire shields, he jumps around and gets hit by attacks he never would've if he just stood still (almost as if he wants to get hit.) Also, that pea shooter attack is so bad. Not only is it so small and slow that it rarely hits anyone with any sort of vertical mobility but it leaves him so open by forcing him to stand still and not use his flame pillars to shield himself. Of course, even if he just doubled down on his flame pillar attack, the outcome of some fights would remain unchanged. Metal Man and Bomb Man practically counter the attack with their high vertical mobility and ability to attack from above. And Ice Man's attack is weird, where it's sometimes high enough to dodge the flame pillar's hitbox but just low enough to still hit Flame Man. There's also the fact that the flame pillars only cover half of the arena floor at any time, meaning a good amount of the time, the pillars miss because the enemy just so happens to be standing between the pillars. In short, Flame Man is a D-tier fighter, but I think he'd be up to a C-tier or B-tier if he didn't shoot himself in the foot half of the time by using brain-dead tactics. Still entertaining to watch regardless. I'd love to see a fight between him and Heat Man since they have similar tactics.

Flameman Battle Commentary! (Spoilers below.) 🌪VS Airman🌪: Flameman does suprisingly well for the first match, but I wish he'd remember NOT to jump into the tornadoes. The fact that Flame Pillar outright nullifies the Air Shooter is nothing short of terrifying. I will say that Flameman actually could've taken more wins if he simply used Flame Pillar more ⚙VS Metalman⚙: Flame Pillar blocks a few Metal Blades, and Flameman gets in 2 hits! If he remembered to actually move around while firing the fireball, he wouldn't have taken 3 hits in a row....wasn't expecting the first match to end in a draw. Also, that conveyor belt REALLY messes up Flame Blast... 🔥VS Fireman🔥: Right from the word GO, Flameman makes Fire Wave useless by deflecting the first and dodging the second with a high jump! He leaps behind Fireman for a free hit, then repeats the action for 2 more that Fireman unexpectedly runs into. Honestly, I wasn't expecting Flame Blast to be both offensive and defensive in nature...the fireball leaves Flameman as a sitting duck though, so I guess it balances out (albeit not in Flameman's favor). Fireman once again proves his competence! 🌩VS Elecman🌩: Thunder Beam's range came in handy, but as soon as Elecman was backed into a corner, I thought it was over for him. Also to note is that Elecman's jump only clears the fireballs at peak height, which cripples him in this matchup. Also...Elecman jumped INTO most of the fireballs in Match 2, so that combined with Flameman taking the high ground means Elecman takes the loss. 💣VS Bombman💣: Flameman, please face the right way when firing the fireballs. Apparently if Flame Blast misses twice in a row, Bombman has a chance to get in 3 FREE hits, which might not seem like much, but it can add up fast. Also, I saw that you decided to fire a Flame Blast pointblank AT A WALL. And for match 2, again, he fires 3 fireballs AT THE WALL, 2 times one after the other. Flameman, what are you doing?!? 😥 🧊VS Iceman🧊: Flame Blast deflects Ice Slasher?!? I thought the 2 would cancel eachother out! Regardless, that first match was close (which, considering Iceman's damage output is saying something!) For match 2, Iceman's got the homefield advantage, which must've given him a bit of confidence. Between the range of the Ice Slasher combo and consistant damage output, Iceman's hard to beat! Overall, Flameman's Flame Blast should've been his go to move due to it's ability to deflect projectiles and range. The Fireballs are predictable and fire too slowly, and if you can trick Flameman into firing in the wrong direction his foes can get in free hits. Flame Blast is also dependant on the position of his enemies too. Another weakness is that he moves by jumping, and while his high jumps CAN clear most moves, he's a sitting duck when he lands unless he attacks immediately. Jumpy foes tend to give him trouble too, as well as foes with a high firing rate or impressive range (Bombman checks the former 2 boxes, whereas Iceman fulfills the latter two requirements).

@@thegoodA373 well, megamans jump height is dynamic, hold the button for a longer jump etc. the bosses have huge - pre-determined jump routines. And the shot cycles have "cool downs" so they can't spam attacks. It would be interesting for sure.

This whole time i was mentally screaming for flame to spam the towers for the Air Man fight. Two questions that has been bugging me. What makes you decide which RM to add next? And how are you going to do ones that focus on contact damage a lot like Charge Man? I'm having a hard time figuring out how you would do him and not have him be either useless or destroy everyone.

I'm still wondering about contact attack. I might occurrence collision while playing the animation to contact attack.
