@@IllgoLame Alien doesn't get damaged by anything but Bubble Lead, so I really don't count that. Bubble Lead is kind of useful for seeing pits in Wily Stage 4 (a design I'm personally not fond of because it was taught poorly). Picopico-kun's weakness is Bubble Lead, but Metal Blade is debatably better at killing it. And Heat Man is weak to the Bubble Lead, but I personally use the Mega Buster instead because the Bubble Lead ricochets off of Heat Man's fire pillars, which is a lousy design. So the Bubble Lead is only arguably useful at three points in the game. Truly an awful weapon. P.S. How is one boss (Alien) the majority of the Wily-based bosses? 33:00 does Bubble Lead work on this enemy in Mega Man 2 for NES? I always used Metal Blades.
@VixyNyan6 жыл бұрын
Yup, in both this and NES version, Bubble Lead is the main weakness, it kills the "Picopico-kun" boss's pieces in one hit. Metal Blade is the most commonly used weapon tho, but it takes extra hits to kill them in Difficult/Japanese modes.

I either used the metal blade or the metal blade for pretty much everything.

This game is better in the sense that you're using ALL of the weapons, now. Instead of just Metal Blade.

Talk about learning something new everyday lol ever since I was a kid I spammed metal blades. Kudos for the pointers.

So basically if Capcom started Mega Man in the 70's, rather than the 80's.

Oh man. OH MAN. I love when you shoot at the same time with the music. I did the same when i was playing the Wily Wars From Genesis Too! XD Anyways, good gameplay and great music!

i can't believe that this is on 2600, looks better than 7800 games or at least on one level with them

I love this. The gameplay may not be as challenging as the original, but it sure looks fun to play. It's also much faster, and that's a good thing. Having to wait through the Weapon Get dialogue is lame and this game fixes that. The SFX and Music are all great and are perhaps my favorite parts of this demake.

Except for one little thing.Megaman 2 requieres at least 3 buttons to work. O e to jump,one to shoot,and one to open the weapons. The Atari 2600 only had one button. And even if jump was up or something dumb like that.The game would be tough as nails without the extra weapons.Nad that kinda blows.

I’m impressed how much of the easily recognizable music was maintained for the demake’s soundtrack.

WHY NOT HEAT MAN FIRST

What do you mean by that? The entire first verse of "I Can't Defeat Airman" points out why you shouldn't beat Heat Man first- the Yoku Block segment that's nearly impossible without Item-2!
