Yeah. But the others are part of it too. They're joining in and keeping the beat and directing the pace with that tapping or clapping right? With excellent timing and an impressive tempo mind you. And the occasional shout or hey or whatever it is. That really adds to the composition. I find that interaction between people and their shared interest and the love and respect they have and demonstrate for one another to be the more beautiful thing that gives it the most value. And really helps her shine in the spotlight too and be more a celebration of culture and community and all that. Rather then just another egotistical "hey everyone look at me" type thing.

Ella tiene "duende" , ojo no todos los bailaores -@s de flamenco lo tienen, es un sentimiento muy profundo, porque al fin y al cabo el baile flamenco se baila con/para uno mismo, con su propio sentimiento. Es difícil de explicar😅

Never have I had such a challenging dance journey than when I took up flamenco. Did ballet for 12 years and while I could “do” the steps, the rhythms never really made it into my body memory. What an incredible art form. I imagine what it must be to hear these rhythms and know the names of the claps and steps from within the culture, and be able to access that spectacular dance❤ Beautiful dancer ❤

Et même si la tentative de récupération a été réelle (en particulier par la haute société à travers tablaos et fiestas particulares, plus tard par certains artistes non andalous), le flamenco demeure résolument gitan et andalou. Quand on assimile le flamenco à l'Espagne, on se trompe.
