Thanks Diego, I was a little frustrated with the beginning as it cut into (a very nice looking) intro cut. To be honest I thought it would stifle my speed in learning this but I actually ended up getting this spot on just a few hours after commenting. I take back my critique and am moving on to the Solea por Buleria, thanks again Diego!
@DiegoDeOro
@DiegoDeOro 8 жыл бұрын
No worries. Critiques help me make a better video by understanding the end user's needs. Look for Solea por Buleria #4 to 9 to have practice supplements which play each compas or falseta multiple times at various tempos. I am editing them as we speak. Cheers!

I have one question.. Can I use my three fingers in picado that is ima or only I have to use im? Which one is the best idea to play faster and easy way? Right now I am using three fingers ima I reached the speed of 120 per beat metronome. So please suggest me.
@Aorist1
@Aorist1 4 жыл бұрын
ima is the rasgueo - there is no picardo in the whole piece IMA = index finger, middle and ring finger down. then middle finger down and index up. Got it?

Hello, thanks for your work, please tell me when the pulgar solo begins. What accents?
@DiegoDeOro
@DiegoDeOro 4 жыл бұрын
The accents are not structured so much as suggested. There is no formula. Observe where the note is picked vs slurred. The picked notes create sycopations whose notes should feel more "solid" than the ligados. Also some notes are "leaned on" a bit more depending on the direction of the musical line. The technique alone will give it half of the feel. The other half will come from listening and familiarity. Also, you can give it your own feel. You don't have to play it exactly like me. Experiment with a compas track playing and see what you like to do with it. Suerte!

yo how do you read the tab at 1:19 that goes 0 and then down hammer on 4 but its on a different string ? i dont get it, if someone can explain🙏
@DiegoDeOro
@DiegoDeOro Жыл бұрын
Hi Antoinen, it can be tricky if you've never done it, but with a little practise it becomes easy quickly. Play the 0 (string 4) and then hammer to string 5 "from nowhere". That is to say, string 5 is not played to sound the note, but the hammer itself sets the note vibrating. I hope that helps. Good luck!

What if you don't have long fingernails? Would you play with the same technique? Would it still work?
@DiegoDeOro
@DiegoDeOro 8 жыл бұрын
Hi TheRitchie213 The techniques are based more on the mechanics of the fingers and wrist than length of fingernail. You can have varying lengths of fingernail, but you will benefit to have some nail. You volume and tone comes largely from the fingers and nails and a lot of these techniques need some aggressiveness in their sound. Nails will help deliver that. Anyone else have some thoughts about it?
@jackhession629
@jackhession629 7 жыл бұрын
nails are a must for flamenco. try a rasguao without nails, it will sound weak and empty. flamenco uses very strong sounds against soft ones to accentuate the beat cycle known as the compas. no nails is for steel string only. classical and flamenco require much more variation on strength of delivery that you cannot get without nails.
