I sort of agree with you that he disregards the connecting steps, at least more than Acosta, but when I watch other videos of him on youtube, especially his variation from Don Quixote, I see some really interesting ways of moving in between the turns and jumps, his own mannerisms I guess, that I've never seen in other dancers. Every time I watch him, I find something new in his dancing. He's unique.

Sarabia was very young in that video and I don´t think you should ask for anything more to a child.I dont know if that girl is Adeline Pastor but maybe is she because I remember very well her incredible way of turning. She had not a very good body for ballet. You also could notice that Sarabia was (and is) spectacular but always had good taste. That was the difference with Adeline, always spinning out of music and never took care if she had to end the coda in the floor...and usualy crying.

Great turns and Jumps, but I feel that he underplays all the simple connecting steps, probably thats why he didn't match up with Carlos Acosta as you say.

Despite the dreadful quality of the filming, this is one of the most extraordinary feats of dancing I have ever seen. Each time I watch it I laugh with disbelief at the impossibilities that these two wonderful people achieve. Bless you both!

Sarabia is better than Acosta. Actually, Sarabia is better than everybody else. He is criminally unknown and underrated. He possesses the best techniche in the history of male ballet dancers. Better than Simkin; than Vasiliev; than Corella; than Polunin or Hernandez. Better than Acosta. Better than anyone.

I don't understand how Sarabia isn't up on the same pedestal as Carlos Acosta. I guess maybe he isn't as polished an "artist" as Acosta, but technically, he is inhuman!!! Out of all the turns he did in this video, I never saw him do less than six, even in a la second!!! He should be a character in the next X-Men movie.
