**Subscriber #1,810** Very beautiful! I love it and boy that train was on fire!
@railroadmike68439 жыл бұрын
That locomotive was hardly struggling with that tiny train, they might want to fix the injecton issues before they cook the turbo.
@Maine_Railfan2 жыл бұрын
Those were loaded ballast cars, which I am not sure the particular weight, but are a lot of tonnage for just one unit.
@TimWhiteRailProductions5 жыл бұрын
The fuel wasn’t burning properly so it caught fire in the turbo no harm done to the crew or locomotive just some fuel being on fire out of turbos it is very common for that to happen

Yikes, thats no good!
@elite_codedogg0566 жыл бұрын
Plus SNC only had one freight like locomotive they had a BL 2 but with so few ever made y risk the chance of breaking it. Then they also have 2 passenger trains that are most likely from Amtrack so this is basically all they had to haul the coal trucks with
@dukctape4 жыл бұрын
@@elite_codedogg056 An F40PH is perfectly capable of hauling freight as well

Dylan Scott What was red? Thanks for watching.
@CSXO721PRODUCTIONS10 жыл бұрын
why did fire come out of it
@TrainManProductionsofficial10 жыл бұрын
Because its a GE, just kidding. may be fuel in the exhaust, that's my guess
@CSXO721PRODUCTIONS10 жыл бұрын
lol that is possible

WOW, good GE chugging action! They better get that fixed soon, seems to me like excess oil or something is in the turbo, or there is a fueling problem (or a turbo problem lol).

Don't they have emission laws in the USA? This would certainly not be allowed in my country.

Where did the hoppers comes from? Are they from CP?
@SelkirkSubRailFilms10 жыл бұрын
Dominick Russell I think they are from the Vermont Railway but I'm not 100% sure.

+09trainman A Stiesel! .... haha just kidding XD It's a GE locomotive, looks to be a dash-8 to me. These locos are known for smoking it up like this XD
@JoshsTrainVideos7 жыл бұрын
Pardon the late reply, but it looks to be a GE B39-8E.

A GE not older than 30 years running worse than a 60 year old EMD.
@indiarail3259 жыл бұрын
Very nice video;)
@SelkirkSubRailFilms9 жыл бұрын
+indiarail Thanks!
@haroldreardon80708 жыл бұрын
Flames out of the stack on a GE is not uncommon, happens on EMDs also. Means its working wide open or close to it and has a load on it.
@SelkirkSubRailFilms8 жыл бұрын
Yes but still cool to see and especially on a railroad that very rarely runs freight.
@H3avyHaul3r4 жыл бұрын
you can get a ge to do that by notching up then backing off...then notching up again...too easy

And CN's GP9's , some of which turn 60 this year are still running after a rebuild. It sucks that the EPA (thank god Trump is dealing with them) forced EMD to dump their 2 stroke engines, originally built for the D-day landing craft.
