Since I was a child I have argued that a "fire truck" should be called a water truck. Of course it was Lauri Vuohensilta that finally made a fire truck. We are long time fans of Hydraulic Press and Beyond the Press channels, and this is still one of the coolest videos.

Good day, Just saw your fire breathing fire truck video! I was a wildland firefighter here in the states for the USFS and our sister branch was the BLM and the BLM had a 8 wheel drive truck with center articulation made by either Lockheed or Oshkosh or a joint venture by both called the “Dragon Wagon “. It had 2 wands that crisscrossed on the front bumper that when extended could be used for backfiring on either side of the truck. It was a beast and very capable off road firefighting vehicle. Actually no you can't, I know a guy who tried that! Yes, seriously! The problem is snow takes simply way too much heat to turn into water, and then if you don't sustain the heat it just refreezes into ice and you probably just fall and die at some point. The heat rises too, so you can be blasting snow with a full stream and like 90% of that heat is going up into the air instead. Also if you don't give the fuel/air mixture enough time to burn up completely you get black soot everywhere, and the result is just this half-frozen nasty black mess. Better off using a shovel and putting down salt the old fashioned way!
