I never had this problem with my E-Bike when I had one, I do believe either they had more than one item and e-bike recharging at the same time or the purchase an second hand battery.

I agree. If you look at the footage of firemen removing a flaming e-bike, the design looks very akin to those I see on HD Gate, Ali Bazaar/express, etc. Many of these are not safe having no UL or TUV Certification standards. Also these are not actually the e-bikes with the pedals more like moepads. They tend to have very larger batteries because they are not pedal assist. To make matters worst they cheaper ones like these take longer to charge 7-8 hrs thus, many of the owners would try to let charge over over night. On top of that they do not have the correct charging space, no ventilation where it kept cool while charging. The owner probably pleased it at the entry because he could not bring it upstairs and to evade potential theft. That means he could have used an extension to from his unit down the stairs to charge the bike, A DEFINITE NO NO!!!!

I got a letter from my condo association. No e-bikes or e-scooters allowed. Since then, scooter rentals have been parked out on the sidewalks. A phone app is used to activate a scooter.
