Flamingo Cay DHC-3 Turbo Otter Landing and Takeoff from Lake Cunningham Bahamas | N443CB

I try to make an effort to catch a turnaround of this Otter at least once a year. Since drop-offs and pickups are from Flamingo Cay's base on Lake Cunningham, This Otter is the only regular non-airport movement on the island as it flies to the lake at least twice a week.

What type of approvals is needed to be able to do regular seaplane flights from the lake?

Thats probably a really loaded question that I have the slightest idea how to answer. However, in my time observing action on the lake, I've witnessed 3 planes in particular on the lake: this otter, a private DHC-2 Beaver and an experimental seaplane that crashed a year or 2 ago in one of the ponds around Bahamar.
