Flamingo Land Resort VLOG April 2024 | Inc. POVs!

Flamingo Land Resort is now well and truly into it's FULL 2024 season, but we've NEVER seen the park like we have today!
In our latest VLOG we head back to our home park and take a closer look at the latest construction work taking place on the park's former Lost River Ride as construction crews continue to transform the park's former soaker of a ride into a completely new attraction.
We also get back on ALL of our favourite rides and attractions including Kumali - we even brave the dreaded Hero and bring you our reactions to the ride as they happen and are joined for the day by Rachel from @CoastersThrillsAndAirtimeHills!

I visited Flamingo Land for my first ever visit on Thursday the 11th of April 2024 when it was still the easter holidays for me but for the area, schools had gone back so it was relitvly quite and i didnt wait any longer than half an hour for any of the rides! I managed to get 6 rides on sik, 3 on Velocity, 3 on Mumbo Jumbo, 3 on Cliff Hanger, 2 on Mumbo Jumbo, 1 on Kumali, 1 on Navigator, 1 on Flamingo 1 and 1 on mischeif mansion! Had a great day, Flamingo Land is such an underated park in my opinion!

It really is! They have some very unique rides and attractions and the setting makes it even more fun too. SIK is definitely the stand out ride there now for sure 😀

@@TPIOfficial I agree, Sik was my first roller coaster to feature both inversions and lap bars and i experiemce my first ever moments of grey out on a coaster on the back row! The front row is awsome too and i waited a while in the gates for the front as it broke down but wasnt giving uo my front row ride and it was well worth the wait!

@@TPIOfficial The forec on the front and feeling when you fly through the mist is amazing but you seem to get more of the mist at the back! It is super intense and the 4 loops at the end is the best part of the coaster and you get some awsome out of your seat moments and i even braved my arms up on one ride!

If you have a season pass you will have the time to cover the zoo talks, they never seem to get any coverage, the zoo always seems to get neglected. Also they have merch in the zoo shop and hub shop as well as the sic shop such as clothes that does not get much coverage, i would like to see what range of t shirts they have with the flamingo land logo on, last time i went they were not in the main shop.

I agree with you, i think the splash area needs redeveloping and they should put a new rollecoaster there, it would not surprise me if they already have plans to do so. They could move the areoplane ride to where the cablecar used to be in the zoo along with the flat ride swoosh air. Dinoroller is another ride that has had it and a new flat or mini coaster could go there. Hero could be replaced with an sbf visa racing car coaster like they have at Gullivers that would better fit the theming of that area. They should have areas that fit in with the zoo such as a South American Area and an Australian area, they already have the African area.

We're definitely expecting to see a new coaster where Splash is in the years ahead that's for sure. It would be a perfect place to put one too 🙂

I absolutely love Sik so smooth and must have rode it about 8 times when I went on 13th April and is my favourite ride there along with Mumbo Jumbo and Velocity. The back seat though on Sik though is just pure awesome. Hero I like and don't like and most enthusiasts will know why lol and that airtime hill on Velocity is awesome but so deceiving when you look at it's going around.

haha yeah Velocity's airtime hill is awesome! Hero is just plain uncomfortable and painful to ride and SIK is definitely the stand out ride for us for sure! 🙂

@@TPIOfficial Yeah I remember when I came off Hero last month. When it first opened it wasn't too bad but not exactly the most comfortable but now totally different. Came off and yeah damn my shoulders and nearly hit my head. Definitely a ride you only ride like twice in a day. Although it's a brilliant ride if you need to wake up haha

Great that you are going to be doing lots of Flamingo Land vlogs this year and following the Lost River Ride development and the new Mangaby enclosure development did you see the video on that, that they released this week. Are not all parks nearly empty on weekdays during term time or is it just Flamingo Land, if so it is a shame as it is a good park, they havnt helped themselves by putting up the prices so much when they are competing with lots of other parks with new coasters this year, i think they have made a mistake there. I think they would like to be like Busch Gardens but it will take them a while to get there and it depends if they get the people in. I wounder if Sik has made as much difference as they thought it would on takings, do you think it has made any difference in the long term.

Love this park. Have great memories of it as a kid. Additionally, a bit misc but what's your thoughts on the whole river caves being closed at minute? Apparently has severe tech issues

It's such a great park 🙂 We haven't really heard much about that so can't really comment, however suffice it to say River Caves is a very old attraction so tech issues are expected.

I went today and it was dead aswel all rides were walk on. Could stay on rides without getting off if you wanted because no ques. Not good for park. 😬
