@@wombat4191 Not really, jinan still has the awful USN 127MM ballistics where as Smolensk has make believe railgun 130s, Smolensk has more effective gun power, once you get close to Jinans max stock range it's almost orbital bombardment.

You see the problem is it has depth charge racks instead of the aircraft drop. So the spreadsheet figured it made sense that it needed a damage buff to HE and torps.

If anything ship based should have better ASW in both damage, AOE because you actually have to risk yourself into literal fist fighting range, Chasing a ship that moving at around 50% of your speed as best case scenario ( say average sub moving for 20kts something and your average DD nowadays go for 40kts ) which need a lot of catching up before you can actually attacking them

@@indelibleglacier219 honestly having a bit worse rotation and bit better reload would work wonders. You could still respond quickly to threats but you'd actually have the firepower to deal with them. wouldn't mind german 1/4 HE pen though to ensure you can deal damage a little more often, after all quite often unless you hit superstructure it's a non pen and won't even set a fire.

@@volknetai.3690 Yep, then you match that with lower range and poor dispersion compared to the overall, add the wooden AAs and limited repairs and you've got a very good combo to make you greatly appreciate your first ship line being CHEEKS when you dont have a preset team

I won't say the buffs are un-needed (this is actually the first time in recent memory that I'm playing a ship that actually got buffs) but it could have done without the fire chance. The alpha is needed, it's kind of weak tbh, and honestly if they shrunk the narrow spread of the torps by 10 or 15%, that would be all it needed, cause that narrow spread is still pretty damn wide.

Yep gearing needs hp and the gun arcs buff other than that I can't say much and hindy needs HE alpha buff it's HE alpha is not ok it's pen is very good though

If you get single DD hide in your smoke and enemy has 2 russian radars, while your only Salem it's sad. Otherwise Jinan was already ok. They added 32mm side plating and guns reload 3s if not wrong. I really think it needs something other than buffs.

Flamu ive got a JInan with za zenbing in it and its realy good and now you say the buffing it it will put 40 yes 40 deep water trops in the water at one time then sa get his elite buff if you hit a ship 3 time with torps they get a boost on rel;oad time seprate to the reload booster

wg and playersbase deserve each other. i bet the playerbase just gets blown up in this ship where you have to have some sense of selfpreservation. and WG just sees bad numbers and doesnt know what to do other than buffing the first thing that comes to their mind - regardless of if its actually an issue. same story like the old YY radar DD wich was strong in comp, and then WG nerfed its dpm because of that.
