These are great for holding a nut while tightening a bolt. The problem with using a regular box end wrench to do this is it doesn’t grab the fastener so the nut can fall out axially. These pliers let you squeeze which means you get a solid grip.

I use them for ice maker and evaporative cooler water lines, shower heads, facet plumbing parts and sprayers. They work great for round parts
