Flash (Barry Allen): Unpopular Opinions/Hot Takes (WITH:

The fastest man alive: Flash. Flash has become much more of a popular character then he possibly ever has been and for good reason. He's a fun and intriguing character with some of the biggest universal breaking abilities in DC Comics or in all comics in general. This of course does not making him safe from unpopular opinions.

The Flash (Wally West) is seriously my favorite superhero ever! And the Flash is 100% the strongest hero in the DC multi verse the only thing holding him back is kind of his will power or his mental state.

Also I feel Wally Flash (for a few of the villains) just fights his Rogues because he has fun doing it. Flash (for a select few of his villains) feels like he has a kind of Tom and Jerry relationship with his villain.

Can we be realistic here? Basically like Sonic, Flash's only weakness is running on ice since ice can easily make someone as fast as Flash lose control and force him to go at a slow pace

I thought it was a crime that the Rogues were never the main threat in any season of the CW Flash show. If they needed to be more threatening, they could have become the powered up version of the Rogues from the New 52.

I agree with that take... I love lightning-less flash... I've also thought he'd be cooler without and reserve the lightning to when he is really pushing that reality warping speed limits. I'd make it more intense, even for the viewer. Like imagine a comic panel, or a scene, and he is running at high speed, suddenly you see lightning, and your reader brain goes: "oh...this gonna get good"

Honestly just make his limit an energy thing. Running at the ridiculously fast speeds or through time/space draws alot of energy from the speed force. After he’s done the act, he doesn’t have access to the speed force for however long is equivalent to the action. Normal every day speed stuff, isn’t a problem but the big stuff is. Boom

Forgive me for saying this, but may I add my two cents for the character.. To quote a certain comic book story: Barry Allen was better off dead. His return ruined the character as a hero via Flashpoint and as a good character given the tragic backstory. The retcon of Barry Allen when he returned ruined the character and it was hard to come back from it. Also it would have been better to have Barry work alongside his Flash family than distance himself from them. Wally is the better Flash as he had a family that grew over time. Barry Allen had the colorful villains, but Wally had the growth of a hero.

I disagree. I think the lightning is an important piece to the Flash as a character. Every speedster has lightning.

Bruh, there is so much overhyping. First people act like Flash is the only hero who has traveled through time or to other dimensions. Pre-Crisis, Cap and WW would do the FTL thing just to go to important places (Rock of Eternity and Hall of the Gods, respectively). Hell, one could go to Paradise Island and ask Hippolyte to show them a past time and the she can portal them there. Further, who cannot go FTL among the Leaguers? Superman, Wonder Woman, and Captain Marvel have been doing that since inception. Superspeed is a powerful trait but it is not uncommon. So stop overhyping it on one chatacter while downplaying it and a multitude of other powers a Flash doesn't have in other heroes. Flash could indeed beat MOST heroes with his speed but not ones with greater levels of durability let alone those with that PLUS.
