Flash Flooding Doesn't Stop Life In A Thailand Village - Living In Isaan

It rained for 14 hours quite heavily the night before. All the streets were flooded and the drainage system was backed up and full. We had issues with flooding and leaking in both Kai's squat toilet bathroom and the modern-style bathroom. Luckily the rain slowed in the early hours of the morning and things started to drain and stop leaking so heavily.
This is a common occurrence in Thailand village life and living in Isaan. The rainy season is coming to an end soon but Mother Nature always says goodbye with a bang.
I'm living Thai Style in Donnoi, Thailand about 20 minutes motorbike ride south of central Khon Kaen with my girlfriend and her family.

The flooding looks horrible. We lived in Clarksville Indiana in 2007 for 2 years. the winters were very mild. we live in Dallas Texas right now. The summers are way too hot. My perfect place is 70 degrees sunny and dry ! Thailand's weather looks like Florida weather.
