As some of you loyal Stache stainers have noticed.. Ive been running from the flooded, high, debris filled rivers on Nebraskee. It's just not my confidence zone, especially with lures.. Obviously. Jor-Dan and I said F it, piggy packing off confidence from our buddy Austin, and headed down to the broken dam that I caught my BIGGEST CATFISH EVER at.

High water, throw close to the bank! I would definitely second that. Going up in the south, we have always ran limb lines and set hooks when the water is high. Flatheads around here go crazy during high water. Especially late spring and early summer! Many times the water falls fast and out lines are outside the banks when we retrieve them. There is a field beside one of the rivers we fish a lot. We talked to the land owner and he is good with us hanging lines on his field. Sometimes he pulls them for us, rolls them up, and leaves them in a bucket if the water fall very fast. We have pulled serval big flats out of the field. High water is my favorite for flatheads!

got a demolished dam in my hometown, one of my favorite places to fish when the water is high, you can get bite after bite every cast is a bass with a top water spinner. its mostly bass but we got pike and musky in the river too, and some rock bass and smaller fish. even seen a gar out there one day! never seen any kinda of cat come out of that dam area of the river though for some reason.

Jordan needs to show more aggression when picking his fishing spot.....I never allow anyone to dictate my location, especially if they hog the area. (That's what pocket knives are for, cutting unwanted line off of mine.😂) I'm very well respected and people steer clear because I don't hold back when it comes to putting fish in the fryer 😁.
