I've been trying to think why this might be coming out so late in the season, and the only thing that comes to mind is that 2024 is the 20th anniversary of the first Stanley Cup in 2004.

One of the nicest recently released jerseys I’ve seen! Sharp colors and contrasts, not overly cluttered or gaudy. I like it so far! I’m not sure about those numbers though. I thought I remember the original numbers in an italicized handwritten-like font. Maybe I’m mistaken and that came later.

Following on from my chat with you yesterday about the Winter Classic, that is an 'upscale' Fanatics .... the stitched shoulder patches and front patch being of much higher quality. Don't think we will see Adidas (although I hope we do) of this, I think the drip feed of Fanatics is beginning. Fine jersey, but not for $180 US.

Tampa always seems to be on the cusp of creating a great, almost iconic jersey (think Mighty Ducks of Anaheim original jerseys), then seems to fall short. Tampa’s original jerseys were their best imo. All efforts since then just seem sort of bland and ‘safe’. There’s so many possibilities with a Lightning bolt as your logo. As another commenter pointed out, Tampa’s jersey colors are way too similar to the Leafs.

I know it's normal for people to prefer old designs in general-not that you’re necessarily saying that here-but surely we can all admit that original Lightning logo was pretty terrible. I mean for nostalgia’s sake, I’m glad they keep it on the 2004 Stanley Cup banner, but it was just bad design, even in the ’90s. Right? Or am I missing something? @@icethetics haha, well I just think they could've used a better crest, and potentially had different striping (though for the striping, seeing better angles could change my mind perhaps). But my feeling initially would be to take the outer circle away from the logo (so no extra circle with writing) and make the lightning inner circle bigger. But I still think it would be an improvement over this full logo here to use their main logo instead, or even an old logo (like their original alternate logo where it doesn't say Tampa Bay). I guess it also just makes me feel like it's their old Bolts third (which I mostly hated because it said Bolts, so at least this is better, but still wasn't crazy at all about the rest of the jersey)

I owe you an apology, it looks like this will be the new Lightning 3rd jersey, i said your video was fake or at least the pic of it on the rack. I guess i was kind of hoping this wouldnt be the Jersey as i was so looking forward to a black Jersey but i am not a fan. I will tell you why cos i know you like people to elaborate, my 1st issue are the laces. Adidas had said they had gone away from the lace design that was used by Reebok i cant remember their exact wording on why maybe it being more friendly around the neck i just dont like it. 2nd i dont like the front logo, i like it as the shoulder logo but this looks like the design of their practice jersey. I do like the victory stripes i really love the attention to detail of the collar with the years and color of uniform they won the stanley cups in. I too am a Lightning fan and had been looking forward to a black jersey but now i am sad 😢😂 i will be at one of the games that they will be wearing it so maybe it will look great in person and maybe on a rack doesnt do it justice. NGL, the actual TBL jerseys are dogwater. As a Panthers fan, it really makes me sad that it's not the classic 1990s one, or even the late 2000s one, rather, it's a Maple Leafs wannabe design. They're extremely similar in design. Don't even get me started on the logo. Why, why does every NHL team need to rebrand their logo into some sort of minimalist, corporate crap? I guess even as "a fan of Tampa Bay's mortal enemy", I can say that this jersey looks cool, but nowhere as cool as the classic 1990s jersey. And it really looks like the alternate Maple Leafs jersey, so that's 3 jerseys based on the Leafs. I expect some heavy slander for being "a Panthers fan", "but where 3 cups?" and "bum franchise" and all that, it's part of hockey chirping, but I feel I can just throw my 2 cents on the table.
