The animated Suicide Squad movie "Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay" is pretty good and the LitDev mentioning it is because it has the same Reverse Flash from the Flashpoint movie. I watched it with my mom and holy cow is it violent. I prefer and recommend "Batman: Escape from Arkham" as a better Suicide Squad movie. I have to agree with other people who wonder why they don't just make live action versions of the animated movies, or at least get the people writing, directing and producing to be the movie. They all seem to at least be very familiar with the source material and really like it.

The DC animated group for a few years there really went in on graphic violence and horror. Batman: Escape From Arkham is the superior Suicide Squad movie, and I feel like I’ll have the same take about The Flash vs Flashpoint animated movie. That said the Hell to Pay movie hoo-wee that one has a great moment when Reverse Flash reveals his story.

During the time travel causality part of the discussion; I think Shad is conflating real proven ideas about what time is(of which there is very little) and our (mostly) theoretical ideas about how causality and perhaps time works...based on our use of reason and logic. If I was tasked to make a flashpoint and make it different from the source material, I would have used both Wally West and Barry Allen where it starts from Wally and Barry in the future where they are running. They keep running until they end up into the past and suddenly Barry is gone and Wally goes back to the future thinking it was a nice prank by Barry only to find things have changed drastically. Wally ends up in an earlier time than he is from, only to realize he can't go further and there is no Flash around. He has to convince the Barry Allen of that timeline he is the Flash and explain all the Flash things to him like he had been coached by Barry in the future. The timelines start twisting more and more and they have to investigate, having to go to "Batman" Thomas Wayne, getting Barry his powers as the Flash. They wonder why neither can time travel only to realize there has to be something blocking their way into the speed force etc. together they find out that it is the Barry of Wally's time who is the big baddy keeping them from anywhere similarly to how Thawne did it. Evil Flash had become twisted due to trying to change everything to the way it was but with his mother still alive, failing and attempting over and over again turning more insane in the process only to decide to destroy it all and recreate the universe or some stuff. Now with all the goofiness happening they have to defeat Zodd or whatever and Evil Barry together, sounds like a superhero movie to me. The Good Barry sacrifices himself to stop his evil version and tells Wally to go back and stop the change in that timeline wimey jimey. Wally goes back to stop the original Barry from saving his mother from the beginning of the movie. The ending could be that he tries to give Thomas Wayne's message to Bruce but the Original Barry tells him that the message wouldn't survive with him since it is from a timeline that most likely doesn't exist and it wouldn't survive the return trip with him.. So Wally decides he will make a trip to the "past" to give that message to Batman who is in his Batcave brooding over a case as usual. When Wally enters to give him the message, Batman remarks on why Wally he is wearing that outfit only to make a joke about it at first, as he looks around he starts noticing differences in the Batcave only to start realizing that the comment Batman made was weird and he asks Batman why he said that and why he isn't wondering who he is. Batman still examining the envelope with his father's handwriting. Batman replies with a " Of course I know you Wally, you are the Flash". Wally could respond with a " Wait..what " babaam. End, roll Credits nerds. I'll take my millions for writing credit in gold DC, thank you. This way you could change the Flash to be Wally in the new DCU movieverse etc and no need for two Ezra weirdos. Also, I am no writer. I know they couldn't do this but considering how many reshoots, I think they should have rescrapped that movie entirely years ago and used the footage in the future.

@@andy2172 Mauler is actually still ok on real bbc cuz he acts normal there but in fnt and Efap he’s basically rags now. But it’s funny cuz he and Efap have always been so hostile to the actual source material of all this stuff. They love the movies and the characters there, but basically the comics can go fuck themselves, it’s very odd, even in this episode az says “oh that’s from flashpoint” and mauler says “i don’t care where it’s from.” In a very short way, yet he’s on the bbc which is supposed to be all about the comics lol. And I still really like az, he can irritate the fuck out of me sometimes, but a lot of the times hes really good, he just needs to calm the fuck down.

Not to mention needing to have super perception. Moving at the speed of light, he would arrive at a wall the instant he sees it. How would he know when to turn, stop, jump, anything. There's a kind of crab that runs so fast it only runs in very short distances, so it can reorient itself. Because it moves faster than it's brain and eyes can process the change in position. Look it up. It's a reality of physics.
