Thank you. I really love 80's dance music and this was my first attempt at trying to get the sound dialed in back in the first week of using Udio. I have 2 more about the same subject matter that I made at the same time that sound more like the female rappers of the 80's like Salt-N-Pepa that I will put up when enough time has passed, and people forget about this one lol.

Thanks. I spent a lot of free credits on this one and 3 others in the first week of using Udio to try to get the sound right. I grew up on a radio station out of Philly that played this kind of music.

Thanks. Pretty much everything I made in that first week was me asking can I get this sound out of Udio and being amazed when it got close to what I was looking for. This one was me trying an exact time period and area and it pulled it off pretty well.

'86 was a great year. I was there and remember it well. Still a kid but it was a great era of my life. I look back on the mid 80s very fondly. One slight thing about your song, though...Madonna's Vogue came out in 1990, 4 years after when this song is set.

It was the year I started watching MTV and making music decisions for myself. I'm a very nostalgia-oriented person so I always think about the mid to late 80's fondly, whether it was the music, cartoons or snacks. I do cringe when I see how my mom dressed me in that time period. I didn't have any input on my clothing choices until about 1989 lol. There is this one picture where she has me dressed in this suit and hat that make me look like Inspector Gadget. Thanks for the listen and comment.

You're right about Madonna but I had spent so many credits back then trying to get the A.I. to serve up some lyrics that were coherent and followed the prompt subject matter that I just left it in. I was still trying to figure out how Udio worked back in May and wasn't writing my own lyrics yet.😁

Thank you. I was good at prompting from spending a lot of time using Chat-GPT, Leonardo, Riffusion and Bard and had a good idea of the subject matter and genres I wanted. I had no clue how to crop and extend or use inpainting and just adapted my workflow to never use it. I still don't.😁

@ Yeah I extend the song 32 seconds at a time, but I don't use the crop and extend feature. I just use extend, context length and trim.
