Except that "bulletproof" fabric does not work that way. It actually spreads the impact over the whole surface to prevent penetration but you still feel the full momentum of the bullet. And it only works against a firm surface - the bullet will push aside fabric which is just hanging like Batman's cape.

Okay so Keaton’s Batman relied heavy on the theatrical, I loved his combat in those films. Where Bale and Affleck were buff and like heavyweights, Keatons use of the intimidating stance before he dives in, then gadgets and use of ricochets made it feel like the Animated Series almost. He hits really fast too.
