Yes!! Actually i'm usually trashing this film (since when it came out) but it has some good things in it...some fights that actually were ok, music, clothing, etc. Offcourse i was pissed of at the time, because my standards about martial arts, and MK fighting style are very high, so the fights were (in same cases) extreamely lame, and poor (especially when Sonya fights the ninjas). Jet Li's films were (and still are) the best of the best ...so, they could hire Jet Li's team to produce the fighting coreography. But i have to admit, that these scenes in this video along with the fight that cames next (sub-zero vs scorpion) were ok.

In the Mortal Kombat universe there are many rival clans/race, the Shirai Ryu vs. the Lin Kuei, the Shokan vs. the Centaurs, and the Black Dragon vs. the Red Dragon. This fight is the best fight in the entire movie. Cyrax fight is secondary. The fact they made the cyborgs look so cool in this film compare to the games is outstanding. I used to have MK3 move book back in the 90s by Bradeys Games and they had great artwork in it, but in the end this movie far exceeded my expectations with the cyborg ninjas. Scorpion looked cool too, but subzero and scorpion was barely in this. It's just crazy how the first movie was mind blowingly awesome and how this 2nd film had potential but didn't deliever. I like both of them, but the first one was above and beyond, probably part of it had to do with seeing your favorite characters from a video game go from a game to a movie. Either way I'll never forget the impact the first 3 Mortal Kombat games had on society. The new ones. I just don't care so much, part of it because its all 3d, and not what the originals had, which is why the violence was more in the older games, because those will real people in low quality sprites. Kinda like how Duke Nukem 3D probably the best nudity I have ever seen in a video game, and thats what the 90's had. Just aburd crap.

23 years later and i FINALLY just noticed Sub-Zero (Ross from Friends, basically) was sliding down a zip line made of ice with his legs!! 2:30 i always thought he was just flying oddly, shooting ice at SMO-KTOR (Smoke doesn't have missiles, only Sektor) lol wow!

It's actually Sektor, yes. They accidentally got the wrong costume for him, so they "fixed" it by changing his name to Smoke. That's why he shoots missiles -- because it is, in fact, Sektor.

I watched this movie over and over and over as a kid. Idk. It was exciting and entertaining. I think they cast the characters (overall) VERY well based off of the characters in MK1-3 . Like you can’t tell me jax, Shao, Liu Kang, Sindel, Kitana, nightwolf etc didn’t embody the game versions ICONIC

Honestly, the best parts of MKA next to the soundtrack were the costume designs for Smoke and Cyrax. Those are some of the most realistic things I've seen outside of last of us' clickers, spartan armor in halo, and the environment of the vaults in Fallout

Well honestly this film brings a lots of memories, i dont get prople who trash this movie. It wasnt bad as they try to describe it, for example i find Street fighter movie far worse and it had even bigger budget than this movie. Choreography is ok, considering fight coreographies in 90s and how they looked like, this movie was revolutuonary.
