Just noticed something! Kyle was never able to identify the T800 infiltrator in 1984 because he never knew what it looked like and had to wait until Sarah was being attackee to protect her, in this scene the T800 has it's face blown off by John before Kyle can get a good look at it.
@MsAmber82
@MsAmber82 Жыл бұрын
That makes even more sense when Kyle could see the body with part of the skin and a little more height of the endoeskeleton He recognized the Terminator with those facts, (probably even before he take out his pistol) in the Tech Noir
@SpanishSebas
@SpanishSebas Жыл бұрын
Actually, the reason Kyle does not know what the T800 looks like is that there are multiple T800 designs. In the flashback of T1 when a T800 infiltrates in a Resistance base, he has a completely different face and build than Arnorld' model

@@MsAmber82Yeah; "I'm _pretty_ sure that guy's a Terminator, but maybe not." They know just enough to look out for people of a certain height, build, etc. Notably, Skynet likely realized this; hence the T-1000, the next infiltrator model, being able to disguise as anyone and rebuild its disguise regardless of the kinetic damage it takes.
@WarpRulez
@WarpRulez 3 жыл бұрын
Context for those who haven't seen the movie: This is the first time, at least in this timeline, that Skynet has produced the T-800, and this is one of the first units. The resistance only has experience from T-600's, which are much bigger, don't look all that human at close range, and are much easier to incapacitate. Connor tries to shoot the T-800 like it were a T-600, but watches in horror as the terminator barely even reacts to the bullets. (He's also probably flabbergasted at how realistic it looks, compared to the T-600's.)

T1, first scene: when a Terminator is at an arm's length, it can rip your heart out in a matter of seconds. It knows it can do that. It does that. Y'all missed the point. It would make zero sense if Skynet didn't have any feelings. But in fact, it hates humanity, and finds it enjoying to torture humans, hurt them, throw them like some shit, cut them to pieces and experiment on them. Of course it knew it could kill him instantly by punching through his chest. But this would be short and not so pleasing for Skynet. This AI is very similar to a psychopath enjoying torturing his foes and victims. That's why T800 throws him like a bag of potatoes, rather than punch the heart out like with dude in T1. You know, Skynet is actually enjoying this, like a living being

in the first two films, everyone does EVERYTHING they can (except Arnold) to avoid any kind of contact with a Terminator, especially in the first one, b/c it was very apparent its strength was absolutely irresistible and it would crush you with a simple grab. Here, the Terminator just proceeds to throw John around instead of just punching through his chest. Come on, if you're not going to kill him, just have John desperately avoid it rather than being tossed around and making the Terminator a fucking idiot.

Exactly, the terminators target should ALWAYS remain just out of it's reach, otherwise you end up with a farce like this where it could complete its mission with a single blow, but instead it inexplicably decides to chuck him around for a bit. People are saying throws can kill people, yes they can but the terminators job is to terminate the target, it's going to do something that WILL kill its target, not something that might kill the target after numerous attempts.

Even Terminator Genisys does a better job at one point. Kyle is left to fight the T-800 and is armed with a powerful anti-material rifle that gives him a serious fighting chance. The T-800: - breaks the flooring under Kyle before he can fire - tries to dive onto him and crush him - grabs a piece of rebar and tries to impale him and keep him away from the gun he just dropped - punches a door he just hid behind to launch him into the open Of course Kyle has enough luck and plot armour for the T-800 not to go for the gun itself but it at least tries not to be stupid. The T-3000 on the other hand-

It was the first time of my life that I saw the face of an actor recreated in CGI. I was so impressed, and still nowadays I think it looks great for 2009. Of course, it was far from being perfect. It didn't look as real as Arnold Schwarzenegger in flesh. But gosh, it really looked like him. I realized the power of CGI : even after their deaths, actors can be resuscitated by computers for a movie. This is what is happening nowadays, for the Star Wars sequels. As much as people hate this, I personally love the idea of taking place during the war, so I count T1, T2 and Salvation as the movies, any other ones are non-canon to me

T-3 Isn't that bad really, the plot is pretty meh but it has some really awesome action sequences. Personally I think the Terminatrix is right up there with the Liquid T-1000 as a bad ass villain. I count that one as Canon too. Genysis I though was decent, way WAY better than Dark Fate for sure. What can I say I loved the happy ending with Pop's still being around.

Pause it during the gunfire lighting up the T800's face at 0:30. How its eyes remain open and focused even as bullets fly towards its upper body is exactly how this thing should be, uncaring if even a round hit it in the skull.

Me too. I consider 1, 2, and Salvation to be the only true Terminator films. 3's ending is solid, but the movie itself is iffy.

@@stateofopportunity1286 3 felt a bit more satirical, like it was having more fun with the concepts, but I actually really enjoyed it for what it was going for. I thought it was all around a solid film with an admittedly incredible ending. I also really like Salvation, even though it’s not perfect I think it’s another really solid film
