Nobody: Terminator: "DOOR CAN'T BE LOCKED IF THERE IS NO DOOR." To be fair, you've got to give the T-800 credit. Sometimes, brute force really is the simplest solution. Terminators are direct and to the point. Coldly, calculatedly so. It's the best and worst thing about them.
@LarryMulk

That's certainly part of the truth but I also think that the T-800 knew that they were in a hurry to destroy Skynet and especially before the T-1000 found out about it, because I think the T-800 knows that the T-1000 will find out where they are sooner or later.

The emotions Dyson experienced were well portrayed Joe Morton. It's visceral; he was a genius who by all rights was about to usher in a new era of mankind. He dedicated his life to a goal he knew he could attain and did so with nothing but benevolence in mind. But when he discovers the truth, that his invention would destroy humanity, he not only gives up his pursuit but dedicated the rest of his existence to purging his invention from history forever. The vehemence with which he smashed that model to pieces, the desire to overcome all his fears to see to it himself, show how deeply committed the doctor was to the benefit of humanity. While he was on the cusp of giving up it was only due to his fear overriding his ability to think and adapt to the roadblock. A few words and a look from Sarah were enough to remind him of the gravity of the situation, and the necessity to destroy Cyberdyne.

Honestly, the cops are here with the intention to shoot to KILL John and his team if they failed to arrest them. In this situation, it is justified for the T800 to KILL all the cops present. Even if he spares their lives, the Government still sees Sarah and John as dangerous terrorists and will send in reinforcements to kill them.
@TalkingHands308

@@sweetcandysugaarmy8480 I think it's funny that even a killer robot can learn the value of human life and you can't, lol. Those cops are acting under incomplete knowledge based on what they thought was their last encounter with this "person" (T-800) not knowing he's not the same one that murdered all of those people in the past... So yes, let's just kill a bunch of cops for that and reinforce those thoughts... 🤣🤣

@@lopanreturns7085 I don't think so, because the T-800 by that time isn't simply following orders but doesn't WANT to kill any innocent humans. When he tells John to trust him, he smiles, showing that he's totally ok with not killing any of the cops. And at the end he willingly sacrifices himself for the sake of saving human lives. So even from the T-800's point of view that's not correct. But the person I was replying to was speaking of his/her own opinion though, he/she refers to the T-800 in third person...

A lot of this so-called "grading" was done on set through strategic lighting. Modern day digital films are lazy, everything is corrected post production. These older celluloid films required precise lighting on set to capture the right feel. Compare this film to the worst films of 1991 and you'll see the difference between a good cinematographer and a bad one

I always used to love this scene here 2:12 mainly because it's pretty much the only time we see Miles properly interact with his creation. Essentially this is Miles asking his work, the result of his work for the axe the T-800 has to destroy the processing unit which gave life to the apocalypse and everything in it. Just that simple dynamic between humans and its creation

You really think these are Oscar performances? If any Terminator movie performances, Michael Biehn in the first movie was best. Linda Hamilton played a convincing pissed off person - but I wouldn't give that an award. James Cameron came close to getting Sigurney Weaver and Kate Winslet awards. Weaver should've won for Aliens - but they gave the award to a deaf actress instead.

I'm not a professional musician (more like an amateur) but the sequence that starts at 2:52 and so on... is brilliant. Can't stop replaying it. It's poetry in motion, like two gears grinding in perfect adjustement. The musical background is thrilling, engaging and give us a warning of the caothic consequences that will be unleashed. A very warm music, full of desire to live even through the hardest of conflicts and at the same time... artificial, intricate, robotic, a reminder of the futile ways of modern civilization. Urban decay mixed with a spark of hope. Gotta love this kind of film scores. I believe Cameron will be forever in debt with Fiedel. Thanks both for this timeless work of art.

The moment where dyson smashes in the thing he had worked on. People rightly point out how he had instantly dedicated himself to erasing what he had worked for years on because he learned the horror it would bring. A deleted scene shows in more detail what that Thing cost him. his family. They never had talks of divorce, but how much he missed out because he had let himself think what he was working on would be a net good for everyone. that was the rage of a father that missed his kid's ball games and so many other moments in his son's young life.

@zac3194
@zac3194 2 жыл бұрын
@@ivanivez7456 You're joking right? I don't get how that film got 70% Tomatoe rating. I've seen so many comments on KZbin saying that they hated it. The main thing about it that ruined everything was killing John at the start and then adding someone new that needs saving. Arnold's always the main protector in the Franchise but he didn't appear till like halfway through the movie. Most the film is just action too. The guy who did the Rev-9 was alright but not as good as Robbert Patrick did in this.

The golden age of cinema. Back when the cast and crew had real love and passion for their work, and sought to entertain their audiences; they weren't in it just to make money, or to lecture us on politics, or to tick those diversity boxes. It was entertainment at it's purest. Even the movies people like to dunk on from this era, like _Terminator 3,_ the 2nd and 3rd _Jurassic Park_ movies, and even the _Star Wars_ prequels, were infinitely better than the vast majority of movies put out by Hollywood today.

This has to be like the nth time I've seen this scene in this masterpiece of a movie in my life. I just realized now though that it's kind of odd how he explains the detonator to Dyson. Very human, too human. Yeah John just taught him how to mimic layman human interactions and speech patterns. But all those interactions all the way up to making the click noise with his mouth seemed pretty damn sophisticated.

Ever notice how the dispatcher gives two different addresses to Cyberdyne? 2144 Kramer and a minute and seven seconds later it's 2111 Kramer. Not sure if it's a mistake or the dispatcher is just spreading out coverage for multiple units so they cover the whole plot of land.
