@@silencedmaxim5889 for story purpose u can watch it but graphically and VFX - cally it's not that good. Micheal Bay is a different build. his every movie is unique. I wish they ll let him direct next movies. he always focus on lighting. and once u achieved greatness in lighting, ur character ll look so realistic. plus there are some candid shots in previous movies. if u ll watch these movies u ll notice that VFX team put so much efforts even in very minimal shots even if it's there for few seconds. u won't say these characters in transformers are VFX or CGI probably u ll say it's set, they made those characters in real life size and made some chages, add some effects for movie. but now, in rise of the beast that realistic ness is gone. like in some shots frame rate of transformers doesn't even match frame rate of surroundings. it's bit laggy. fuck man I m die hard fan of these movies accept last one. I can write book in which I ll appreciate Micheal Bay and whole VFX crew.

CGI really peaked in the mid-late 2000s. We have directors like Peter Jackson, James Cameron and Michael Bay that actually understands the use of VFX that people in the future would still appreciate. Nowadays, the superhero era movies with their cheap looking CGI is something that brings market becoming oversaturated.

The Bayformers movies have ZERO heart put into them (in terms of storytelling), because Michael Bay doesn't care about _Transformers._ Hell, he doesn't even treat the Transformers themselves as characters; more as vehicles (pun intended) for pornographic violence. _Bumblebee_ had ACTUAL heart and told a story. _Rise of the Beasts_ could've used a bit more work for sure. But I'd rather watch _Bumblebee_ and _Rise of the Beasts_ for the rest of my life than ever watch the Bayformers movies ever again.

I'm not familiar with the programs they used or any specific details but i can make an educated guess. The Assets most likely are low polly on the inside of the Devastator and a lot of parts were probably instanced, meaning it only has to load one part and the other identical parts are very light copy of it computing wise. Also the same textures are most likely used on many parts. Re-using textures can safe a lot of memory.

Hilarious they were outputting to 2K thinking that was state of the art. An RTX 4090 could probably render their scenes today without a problem.

I like this version of Devastator, but why were the Constructicons and the combined form of Devastator in two separate places at once in the movie?

I don't like the 'Bayformers' as a concept, neither the movies...because is a mess...BUT the VFX of the first 3 movies are so well done, so much passion and hard work... this was the time when you were going to Cinemas to see impossible things come to life, in High detail... mesmerizing.
