Flashing GM PCMs using LS Droid for Windows

In this video we demonstrate the power of ls droid for windows as well as discuss the different types of PCMs it covers. Whether it be a P01 P59 P04 or E54 PCM ls droid makes quick work of the cloning process.

The first PCM was referred to as an LS1a and has a "4" in front of the "896." The second, the 0411 is referred to as the LS1b, as it replaced the 4896. Also, the Corvette P01 was a DBW PCM. So the hardware HAS the IAC circuitry built-in! The Diesel controller is an E54 I believe. The P04 is a V6 CAR ONLY controller - meaning RWD F-Body cars as well as FWD cars using the 3800 NA motor and the 60 degree GM V6 upto the LA1 3400. Lastly, there is a P08 used in I4 cars and truck such as the S10. The ODDBALL VPW controllers are P11 used on 2002 or so 2.2l Ecotec motors as well as the P10 and P12 used in the I6 Trailblazers etc.

Do you have to connect the OBD dongle direct to the PCM to read and write? Can you connect it to the plug inside the car?

Do you recommend the OBDX Pro GT since it also has GMlan all in one might as well pay extra. Do you know if it will write with LS Droid or PCM Hammer at 4x speed? NO videos on GT new versions
