I bought this flashlight and i use it in industry at work every day. It feel to the ground countless times and it still works as the day i bought it. I also gave on to my father who also abused it quite well and it still goes strong after years. the only thing I changed on the fathers light was the switch. Other than that no issues... These lights are rock solid. Also the replacement parts are also next to nothing in price :)

Some Informationen for anyone interested in buying one: you can find dozens of different configurations of this light. If you just want a flashlight, in Case you need one, get the cheapest one. They are Sometimes on sale for less than 10€. If you have specific needs, check reviews, don't hunt lumens. There are high CRI Options, etc.
@CanadianCuttingEdge

Good point!
@Brakballe
@Brakballe 2 жыл бұрын
I have em almost all. High CRI is more valuable than you might think. The best S2+ is SST20/Nichia at color 4000-4500 and with 4-6 x 7135 and Biscotti firmware. The high lumens SST40 or XM-L Hi sucks the battery faster than a sponge and gets quickly too hot and reverts to normal mode after a couple of minutes.

is there any stabilization of the light or the flashlight dims as the battery drain?
@CanadianCuttingEdge
@CanadianCuttingEdge 4 жыл бұрын
the intensity of the light does not go down until the voltage starts to drop dramatically, such as happens when the battery is below 10% charge left - until then there is no dimming due to battery use.

@CanadianCuttingEdge
@CanadianCuttingEdge 3 жыл бұрын
no, you can't do either. Your battery has to be charged out of the flashlight. And there are no good places to get good 18650 batteries for cheap price in Canada. You can get garbage ones cheap or good ones for a fair bit of 4 - most easily from VAPE shops. I was lucky I got some 18650's from Olightstore.ca when they first opened. Now they are $25 each for 3000mAh and HIGH DRAIN You can get 10% off with code: CCE10 but use my links to open the page and I will get a small commission then too: CANADA: caolightstore.idevaffiliate.com/199.html USA: olight.idevaffiliate.com/idevaffiliate.php?id=619

Hello. May I know the runtime of this flashlight? Thank you.
@CanadianCuttingEdge
@CanadianCuttingEdge 3 жыл бұрын
On the highest setting you get about 90 minutes of very bright light and at the end you get another 45 minutes or so of lower light levels BUT it depends on the battery you use. Many S2+ are sold without a battery and you can buy 18650 batteries that have 1600mAh all the way up to 3500+mAh and of course the higher mAh the longer the flashlight will run for.

@Xantulle
@Xantulle 4 жыл бұрын
This is expected behaviour I think. You can switch between the default modes (without strobe and sos) and the strobe/sos mode. You do this by turning on the light in "low" mode and then wait for the light to blink once after 2-3 seconds. When it blinked, immediately turn off the flashlight. Now when you turn it back on you have changed to the other mode with or without strobe/sos.
