I would add a release agent such as silicone or bearing grease wherever the metal touches the form.

Hi, the only draw back to silicone is that in the shop it is almost impossible to clean up. Especially spray. Any finish materialistic for wood or metal will not stick or it will look bad. Regular spray lube is good. Mark R.

Having worked around this Industrially I noted you are not using any lubricants. Most of my experience a light lube was used on friction surfaces to ease shaping and effect greater tolerance goals. May eliminate your jumping pops while in your press!

Only troubles I have is welding the thin material and figuring out a way to drill through the trunnion and barrel to install the barrel pin, otherwise I've got everything else figured out. That's actually all that's left on my receiver is pinning the barrel and welding everything on then it's ready for test fire

Hey. I'm new to building HKs and I wanted to know what I needed to put in the reciever. For instance, Do I have to weld the cocking tube, trunnion and barrel into the gun? and How do I do that exactly. I have all the other parts down, but the reciever. any help you can give me would be useful.
