Good video. I've learned that the flat skid steer's are WAY easier to attach and detach than standard AG couplers! Thanks man.

Thanks! Flat faces are way better.

Thanks for the video Roger I guess I learned something new. I have never connected anything to a skid steer so I had no idea they were different. I have to agree they seem to function better. Take care brother

Roger, thanks for the video. I heard of the flat coupler but thought they were just for high-flow lines (skid steers, etc). Learned some pros/cons of each. I sure am tired of the slow-drool of the excess fluid in the lines on the AG coupler and like you said, the coupler covers/plugs are a hit-n-miss too. I have AG coupler and many times it's a pain in the rump to get the coupler to connect so there I am doing the joystick wiggle to relieve pressure in lines. I just doesn't always work easily. Thanks again. Later.

These can still give fit, when you go to connect them, but I think they are easier than an ag type.

I did like you did putting hydraulic from back to front, for a grapple, I always put a rag under the couple in the back to catch the fluid that spills out. Great video

Thanks! The rear remotes are for a top and tilt kit. I have a 3rd function.

Awesome video demonstrating the different types of couplers for equipment. Flat face has always been my favorite tho I don’t own any yet. Great video!

Mine too! Thanks!

I also just installed a third function with a grapple on my tractor late last fall have not used it yet. AG couplers is what I have on my tractor and I probably switch out to flat face. Thanks for the video

I really like the flat face couplers. I wish they were on the rear, but the standard for the rear is the ag type.

That is a good demonstration of both types. I have the AG couplers. I must say my dust covers stay in place very well. But the male cover is very hard to remove in cold weather (

Thanks Joe. There are also connect under pressure flat face couplers. I think they may be a little easier to connect if pressure builds up while an attachment is disconnected.

What you call ag couplers I call poppet connectors. They were the only hydraulic quick connects until the flat faced were available in the 1990s. Even skid steers had them. They always had oil around them and a generous clump of dirt ready to destroy your hydraulic system. First time I ever used flat faced couplers was on a Bobcat 743

I wasn't sure when the flat face couplers came out, but that would be right at the time the skid steer quick attach came out too.

Do you have to pull back on the sleeve to connect them like you do with ag type? I find that such pain, personally, especially how the bracket holding the female couple is wedged behind the loader arm support on my massey tractor...no easy way to do it.
