TBH I would say the problem is more, modern shoes destroy your feet and then you add tons of rollerblading on top and its a nuclear combo, getting some barefoot shoes and doing the exercises people recommend for transitioning to them should help alot i would expect.

@@acostablades8138 I have splay shoes freestyle as a casual shoe. It's a good budget option,tho it's not great for rain. I think they are going to last around 1 year.

i actually had flat feet to start with and rollerblading made it better. I remember struggling tremendously with crossovers. took me months to be able to cross over to the left and even longer crossing over to the right. might be because crossing over makes you favor outside edges more. I feel my muscles are so much stronger now and before i had to fasten the ankle cuff very tight almost cutting of circulation to be able to stay stabile and now i have it very loose. i might be able to wear cuffless skates these day. not that i want to because i like cruising and tricks over speedskating. But over these last 2 years i experimented with inserts for flat feet and having a bit of support and having to switch them to bigger or lesser inserts and now i cant bear them anymore. I need a flat insert so i can bent my feet in all ways during my skating without cramping up.

It’s a lot more simple than you think. Being in a hard boot means your toes fall asleep, weak toes lead to no arch

Flat feet gang! Thanks for the tips. Rolling a 2" or so bouncy ball on the bottom of your foot while sitting can help too. Heal raises possibly help. My fav new workout toy is the peanut balance ball 🤘

A huge part of the problem lies in frame alignment. To be able to have a wider soul space the industry decided to moove the frame inwards, specially in the heel area. This is right where you want to have your frame centered and one of the main problem of UFS.

Thanks for the awesome vids! Getting back into it after about 22 years. I’m loving the workout, but man am I out of shape! I’ve been hitting Fountain Skate Park in the am. I’m a Springs resident as well and am excited to hit some of the others here. (Gotta get better first) Maybe we will run into each other sometime! Keep up the great vids!!

My feet are flat as a robot since I was a child... do you think that I can actually revert that? I think the problem is in the structure of the feet that creates the arch when you grow up and the time to fix that is long gone... I think the only problem is I get laceration in the inner part of my feet after 1.5 or 2 h of skating. What are your thoughts? In what other ways can it affect me? Thank you
@jorpese1
@jorpese1 Жыл бұрын
Actually I've investigated how can it affect me: the arch of the feet act as shock absorbers. In my case it is the lower back what absorbs them and can get injured 😞

Ah man, idk how these exercises will effect you. But I’d like to think that our bodies adapt to new stimulation and exercises. Maybe doing something is better than not? If flat feet are something you want to work on then go for it 💪

@@acostablades8138 skating definately got rid of my flat feet to start with. maybe because i was so intent on learning how to do crossovers. months on end. with crossovers you go on outside wheels. atleast i do. i have to say i got lots of blisters at first and i only got back after healed. or taped them off. I cramped up all the time because my skatesd were to narrow. and i experimented with heaps of inserts to support the arch a bit and stuff. I realised that when my muscles got stronger most problems went away. but the key is to not overdo it. like when i went running with flat feet for a few miles and almost couldnt "walk" for a week. slowly easing into it works better. Which i have a problem with though. I dont listen to my body enough because of the drive. but you should listen to your body and evaluate what excercises work best and how long or short you should do it in the beginning to not damage something while your body gets stronger hopefully.

@@kingpinda2 how you tape ur blister? honestly this is my current situation right now. With my flat feet, i always have to wait 3 days to recover my blisters.

@@wylfritz2339I have some wound dressing material because of my work. I had some kind of foam absorbing dressing like polymem pink or similar which i cut to size and use an fixation tape which we call second skin like fixomul transparant or opsite or similar. Something to prevent blisters I just do a layer of opsite so my sock won’t rub against the skin but over the second skin. You might not be able to utilize these specific wound materials but I hope I have give you some idea to tape them off. Maybe you could use the tape people use for their sprained ankle etc. So there is no friction on the skin because it’s taped off. Good luck mate!
