I’ve never used flats but I’m at a point I think I need to. However, in Siril, if you load lights, darks and bias/flats, doesn’t Siril stack everything automatically for you in one of the script algorithms? So no need to manually create a master flat the way you did there?

yes that's correct, but you still need to create the flats. There are various ways to do this as you rightly point out. Good luck would love to know how it goes.
