42 inch just seems too big for me in a desk setup like maybe max 32. 42 feels like I’m entering TV size.

In my opinion....27 is the sweet spot. Pros play on 24. Anything over 32 is extra.

Don't forget screen ratio. If it's 16:9 then it's a TV definitely. But if it's 21:9 then it's wide and large monitor :)

the only issue I can see with this monitor is how large it is the ppi on this monitor is 82 which is nearly the same as my monitor a 27 inch 1080p monitor at 81 and i sit quite far away from it about 3 feet minimum

If this is the lg oled flex 42 inch. It has a ppi of 104.9 2560x1440 2k 27 inch screens have a ppi of around 108. So this is really really close. More than likley couldn't tell the difference in sharpness to the eye

for racing games having it curve is better if the screen is too wide and you can see the edges as well, and it's way better to curve it for immersion

I agree! I have a 34’ curved and I never have the urge or want to have it flat. Once you’ve experienced the immersive environment created with a curved wide/ultra wide you would never want a flat monitor again.
