The longer you don’t transfer the temporary, the more points you’ll actually get per turn. So it’s actually more beneficial to not transfer until you have a few points saved up.

At the beginning of the video, they get two in a row correct and it goes from 1 to 3. But they somehow missed that and that led to the misunderstanding.

some people get a dopamine rush by playing slot machines, and some people get a dopamine rush by waiting to see if their boys at SGS accidentally get two in a row and stumble upon the answer Edit: to be clear, I freaking love these boys and this game was ridiculous. Plus, its a lot easier to focus while watching a video instead of making (free!) entertainment for the whole world to see. This video was a great watch, but I got so worked up when they almost rolled a new number instead of storing their points 🤣

Each time you get one correct, the little pip lights next to the temporary number increases. That tells you how much you will gain when you get the next one correct. So if you make a streak of 5 correct, it will go 1 - 3 - 6 - 10 - 14. You want to use the lights when ever you want to make your own luck because they move faster when you are making your luck, but cannot move if lights are on. Use it when you get middle numbers to play it safe and not lose streak progress.

That crab claw in the main menu was specifically for the contest, what's supposed to be there is that creepy, smiling, corpse thing. Also, now you don't have to complete the game multiple times to get all the tapes and the true ending. There's a setting in the options that allow you to unlock all of them immediately and you can play the true ending after playing the final tape.

Jesse sorta intuits the whole vibe of the game halfway through, you're not supposed to bank all the time because you get a multiplier, you can use the lights along with 'make your own luck' to accumulate temp points and multiply them. Doing it 1 by 1 is the slowest possible method.

uhh.. I saw that they did try not bank/ transfer very on and basically if you failed all unbanked points were removed but it seemed like no penalty for banking.. so they did not try again

Also their is hidden lore in this game if you turn around and look at the door on your right their will be a contraption clicking it reveal the previous subjects who went through these "trails" if you beat all 3 rounds you unlock more pictures & more audio logs. As far as i know, no one knows whats behind the door. Today Was Special

Yeah I haven't played the game, the whole time I'm thinking there must be a streak bonus though, otherwise there really would be no point in not just banking it straight away. Part of me was frustrated, but I'm honestly just used to it with these guys by now lol, it's part of the charm

This annoyed me so much, and I really love SGS. The guys are usually really good at figuring things out, sometimes way before it's revealed. But this time they stopped questioning things and assumed they figured everything out. Nevermind that there were at least two mechanics/buttons that seemingly had no use in the game (in their version of the game) - banking/transfer and try your luck. Developers don't put useless buttons in games for no reason.

It's a great comfort, knowing a few things in this world don't change, one of them being Davis or Jesse asking good questions, only to be drowned out by Alex's overconfidence. Despite that, Davis' nervousness and Jesses laugh always make for great entertainment. But truly, the game could have made it more obvious that the lights next to the "temporary" show how many points you get for guessing correctly on the current stage without storing. It also took me a while to figure that's probably what was happening

You push your luck whenever the number is in the middle range(like 9-12ish) and use the light during that moment. That way you can avoid ever losing.

It's a really fine balance to get a game where the goal is finding out the rules of the game between too simple to offer challenge and too hidden to offer interaction, especially because even in a standard audience you can easily make the intended band fall between the two and miss entirely. Especially when you want a certain number of failures to let the story unfold but not so many that there's nothing to reveal left.

At first I understood why they would use a statistical strategy to win, but then I realized it's basically gambling. Think of the over under as a 20 sided die. Maybe 2 times out of 10 you'll be right but that's it. Take a chance and take risks. Don't fear failure.
