I really like that Legacy is set way before Harry Potter, it takes away some of the pressure that the other games face. Our character will probably be older than Dumbledore, and certainly older than every other character in the books, so we don't have to worry about people being upset by how their favorite characters are represented, and it gives plenty of opportunity to find new favorite characters.

Best game for me will always be Chamber of Secrets for PC, no contest. Just huge amounts of fun, plus the hidden challenges. In fact first three games for both PC and consoles are all good for me, but Chamber of Secrets is the ultimate. I used to rate Azkaban for PC higher but I agree that it's too easy, it feels shorter and simpler than Chamber. Philosopher's Stone on PC has a special place in my heart as the first PC game I ever bought. Easy though it is, I love replaying it! Music for the first three games rocks too. Just amazing. When I think about 'The chamber of secrets' on PS2 I always get emotional. That game really made my childhood. I loved it so much. Sure I had tons of heartattacks like when you have to get away from Filch in the library or the stuff in Borgin and Burkes. But to me it felt like THE closest I'd get to the Harry Potter experience. Not much later I fell in love with World Cup. To me it doesn't get the appreciation it deserves. It was so cool. Had so many great hours with it. And I even play it these days, when I get my PS2 out just to play it. Well, I didn't play Azkaban and Goblet of Fire, don't know why actually. When I joined the train of HP games again, it was with Order of the phoenix and that one was really cool. Different. It was fun to let all the stuff fly and to move freely in Hogwarts. Like with the previous games, I don't get why it's not so appreciated, but ok. Half Blood Prince had good moments, i think. But yeah, didn't catch me like those others. And the Deathly Hallows really were not my cup of tea. So yup. Overall I enjoyed the games. And I do honestly miss them so much. I'd love if they'd do some remastered versions. High Quality and better gameplay. I'm sure many would go for it! Buuuuut.. I haven't been as stoked for a game as I am for Hogwarts Legacy in many many years. out of all of these games, i've only played: chamber of secrets (the pc version), the half blood prince and deathly hallows part 1 (both on xbox 360). out of these 3 i would honestly say that half blood prince was actually a great game, arguably the best harry potter game coming from EA because it had almost everything: using the right stick to cast spells, engaging in dueling and have dueling clubs in hogwarts, all of which can teach you new spells and make your existing ones more effective, you could brew potions and that one i remember was really fun, you could play quiddich but that was honestly my least favorite thing about half blood prince, and best of all being able to openly explore hogwarts with all its detailed areas. i didn't know about the new game to be released in 2022 but it does look like it's gonna be the best harry potter game to date if all the claims and features become a reality. hopefully they don't pull a cyberpunk 2077 on us.

If you pick ravenclaw, only you can hear him/her (the best ranked player) celebrate every time they get a win. So you can either beat them or let them stay champion throughout the year. Let each house have something unique going on throughout the entire years gameplay. Idk. Ps: was just thinking. Slytherins can have a snape/lily type situation where you can help the guy avoid the same mistakes Snape did with lily. Or you can watch a relationship shatter into pieces, little by little while you watch things unfold in the common room. lol evil yes, entertaining? Most definitely; if well written. I'll add if I come up something for griffyndor/hufflepuff.

I really enjoyed Prisoner of Azkaban on the PC. It has a card collection system which is one of the objectives players must complete in order to formally finish the game. The cards gave a lot of information on the lore of Harry Potter Universe (the monsters, the wizards & witches, etc.) that the movies or even the novels didn't give us before, and that amazed me at the time. Chamber of Secrets was fun as well, although I think the contents were not as rich as the third game. The thing I remember the most was dueling, where expelliarmus was the strongest spell (basically you can climb to the highest rank with this spell alone), as well as the great improvement of control from the first game; the game control was kinda awful and I never passed the box-pushing event before Quirrell. Goblet of Fire was where I dropped the series altogether. I can recall that there are some interesting mechanics, but the good old game control issue still gave me frustrating time. I think the game was aiming at playing sticks and console primarily, and it's just unfriendly to me as a PC player; I can't cast the spells or even finish most of the moves properly with only keyboard and mouse as character's movements didn't feel smooth and strangely travelled everywhere (or maybe I just sucked).

Pick up your cross and follow Jesus! The world is quickly headed for destruction, and sooner or later you will have to sit at the judgement seat and give an account for your actions. Belief in messiah alone is not enough to grant you salvation - Matthew 7:21-23, John 3:3, John 3:36 (ESV is the best translation for John 3:36). Call on the name of Jesus and pray for Him to intervene in your life! - Revelation 3:20. Contemplate how the Roman Empire fulfilled the role of the beast from the sea in Revelation 13. Revelation 17 confirms that it is in fact Rome. From this we can conclude that A) Jesus is the Son of God and can predict the future or make it happen, B) The world leaders/nations/governments etc have been conspiring together for the last 3000+ years going back to Babylon and before, C) History as we know it is fake. You don't really need to speculate once you start a relationship with God tho. Can't get a response from God? Fasting can help increase your perception and prayer can help initiate events. God will ignore you if your prayer does not align with His purpose (James 4:3) or if you are approaching Him when "unclean" (Isaiah 1:15, Isaiah 59:2, Micah 3:4). Stop eating food sacrificed to idols (McDonald's, Wendy's etc) stop glorifying yourself on social media or making other images of yourself (Second Commandment), stop gossiping about other people, stop watching obscene content etc and you should get a response. Have a blessed day!

You forgot to mention that the Chamber of Secrets PS2 version was different than the XBOX and GameCube versions. The levels were the same, but the PS2 version was much harder as there were Prefects everywhere at Hogwarts during night time levels, while in the GameCube and XBOX version the Prefects were only in certain areas in the castle such as the Library and Slytherin Dungeons. Also, when you went in the Grounds in the XBOX and GameCube versions, you couldn't explore freely like the PS2 version. They'd transport you to the specific area you intend on going to.

One of my favorite games will always be HP and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I played it when i was a kid so much, i always loved and enjoyed the gameplay as well. I also played the first part, second, the quiddich cup, the fourth and the fifth, but nothing can replace Prisoner of Azkaban in my opinion

The prizoner of azkaban is the most nostalgic for me. I remember playing it on my dads pc, it was scary but also fun Recently downloaded it again and it was like i remembered

The first three Harry Potter PC games were some of my favorites, along with Quidditch World Cup, but Hogwarts Legacy is definitely going to blow those out of the water, and honestly, it's what the crappy Hogwarts Mystery should have been.

That's interesting... I didn't know the 5th game scored so poorly among critics. I should say I truly enjoyed it as one of the last games I played on my ps2... I mean, it's not fantastic, and I knew that, but somehow I found the battle mechanics pretty decent and fun, and the recreation of Hogwarts was very impressive, especially considering how old the ps2 was by the time the game was released...

@saeedbaig42493 жыл бұрын
@@danksquidward Me too. I had it on PS3 and I loved the big immersive world, how you could just explore Hogwarts and have all these sidequests and side challenges to do; running magical errands, playing chess, playing marbles, the NPC dialogue in the background, exploring hidden places, and some of the large-scale views of Hogwarts were breathtaking. I don't even remember much of the main story but that game really made me feel like I was walking through the same Hogwarts as the movies.

It's crazy how many people died in harry potter: but, seeing as though some would take this as a spoiler somehow, spoiler warning.. i guess Snape Dumbledore Cedric Sirius Lupin Tonks Madeye Fred Dobby The 12 muggles and literally a quarter of hogarts students oh and kinda harry too

@@nathanfracasse6645 It's not like the main games are more than 10 years old, eh?
@nathanfracasse66453 жыл бұрын
@@VinylLPFreak what does that have to do with anything I said? I meant the books. This guy spoiled everyone who died in the series, he could've atleast put a spoiler warning. God damn.
@allbrosdjay3 жыл бұрын
@@nathanfracasse6645 The last book came out 14 years ago. If anyone is getting spoiled it's their fault not the people talking about it. If they haven't finished the books don't scroll down to the comments, or don't watch the video. It's that easy. If a person doesn't want a story spoiled then they should make it their responsibility to not be spoiled, not depend on other people to warning label everything whenever they want to make a comment about it. I read all the books and watched the movies last year for the first time. Not a single thing spoiled, because I didn't click on videos, read comments, or type questions in google that would obviously talk about the series.
@nathanfracasse66453 жыл бұрын
@@allbrosdjay this video was about the history of the Harry Potter games. Not the books or the movies. Nothing in this video talks about the plot or story of Harry Potter. The commenter did something completely unrelated to Harry Potter games and just spouted out spoilers of the series, and it's literally one of the top comments. Don't justify spoiling the last book of a series because it's "14 years old, and you shouldn't look at comments" even if that his true, he could've put a spoiler warning and did a read more. It makes it extremely irritating.

Also hear me out. Imagine a virtual reality game where you have to flic your wand in a certain way to do various spells and also do stuff like potion making, play quidditch etc. Something like Ravenclaw VR but just on a much bigger scale.

Both, but especially the second game brought me so much joy that its one of my favourite childhood memories. i also played the other games alot later got bring back this nostagia and as you can imagine, the other parts were just bad for me. but the second game, man it threw me back into the good days. the Dueling function alone was so great

I remember being super disappointed with Goblet of Fire on Ps2. It was a train wreck, and I have no idea why EA thought changing it from open-world to mission-based gameplay was a good idea. Other than that, I liked the rest of them--even the Deathly Hallows.
