I think you make the best videos on this topic. Really well put together, nice results and easy to follow. Thank you! I have an issue when importing the project to AE, the Track Points move a little when I preview the animation which looks bad. Did you happen to have similar issues? I did some other animations before and never had this issue, this happened recently.

HI buddy, I was wondering if you can follow a route like a road or river and make a video of 'journey'? Seems like you should be able to, create a KLM path file and then get the camera to follow it? Hey, did you ever encounter the problem that your KML route is flickering throughout the playthrough? As far as I know it happens when planes are lying exactly on top of each other, but since I cant influence the height of the KML file inside Google earth studio, it just keeps on flickering through random frames.

@@GettingNegative no, i found out what it was. if your KML has a distance of 0 from the ground its following it starts glitching with the 3d planes surface. it needs to have at least some altitude distance from the path its following.

Figured it out. I am making an animation which zooms all the way out to show travel around the globe. The ocean overlay was over top of my .kml. Turned it off now it looks fine.

Not really, you really need the 3D data in order to do that. Earth studio is really just a video exporter, they don’t really give you the proper 3D data you would need to do that. An alternative would be to do it would be to use a 3D map plugin for C4D and work natively in there. I did a 3D map effect for my travel effects pro course. I used a 3D landscape model from turbo squid and used blender to put it together or use element 3D to use the 3D model in Ae.

@@FlatPackFX Yep... 10x. I did a lot of experiments but workflow with GES has a lot of restrictions Working with 2D coordinates and 2D precomps - ok. But real C4D files - still a problem. Check out some of previous Google earth studio videos, you might find it useful for creating the different colors. As for adding in different assets you might need to track some of those things in using the tracking points in the program. I can possibly look at doing another video with some of these points. I have made a video of exactly what you are talking about but it will be apart of my GEOLayers 3 mini course launching in a few weeks time.

You would need to go on their website to get the latest terms and conditions. They may be working on a licensed version I read but I’m not sure.
