Great content about the eye positions of jog heads. I don't think I've ever heard that mentioned. My favorite minnows are zmann and it's a secret weapon for me here in texas over oyster reefs because theyre buoyant and I fish them in 6" if need to. Everyone else is throwing DSL and staying away from oysters where the reds are! Don't tell anyone

When I’m using ewg or twist lock with paddle tails or jerk baits I seem to get that spiraling death roll.. any help would be appreciated 🤙🏻

I’m definitely not a fan of Twist Lock style EWG’s so hard to rig those true. I would try standard 90 degree rigging hooks with drop of super glue. Or, try the Mustad Grip Pin or Zman ZWG rigging hooks that have a holding node on 90 degree bend.

Everyone would just use a jighead if you don't have to worry about getting snagged. Where I fish you can't retrieve 3 ft without hanging up in grass so the ewg is a necessity.
