16:00 she's not the inverse of wolverine, they're just saying that for the patch specifically. She has the same ability to do more damage to tanks, but it's significantly weaker on her so they're having her give up some of it to do more damage to squishies. It's funny, her attack actually does less damage per second than Cloak's to any target that has less than 500 total health (only once something has more than 500 does she out-damage him). This'll still be the case after this change, but the difference will be a lot smaller now.

I agree, not because I hate them but because it makes team ups very one sided, like the entire point is to make certain pairs of characters stronger, not one character of the pair getting a new ability. It also makes team ups with multiple characters restrictive because the "Anchors" bonus is always active. Rocket, for example, gets 5% bonus healing, and he could team up with punisher and winter soldier, but what if teaming up with both of them gave him a 10% bonus (5% bonus from punisher, 5% bonus from Winter Soldier). I feel like that would be way more interesting without being too restrictive.

The wolverine point about him being a surpiseingly strong pick is a bit of an unfair comparison. The reason people thought he was terrible is because his abilities are practically hidden away in the website, because all it says in game is "this does damage" not "This deals far more damage to tanks than swuichies" so everyone just assumed it dealt flat and saw he did no damage to squishies and dropped him. Netease does seem to have a very nice approach to balance so far, where there isnt anything being completely gutted, but they really really struggle with communication when there isnt any excuse, like all it would need on wolverine is "He deals damage based on the enemies maximum health" anywhere and people would have understood how to play him immediately,

There seems to be A LOT missing from these patch notes. The Cap sprint buff, the Venom slow buff, the Cloak / Dagger switch buff, the Storm falloff buff and even the Moon Knight projectile speed buff. They also missed the Hela falloff nerf and the Hawkeye charging-time nerf. While some of these are only alleged, others (like the Dagger one) are straight up confirmed. Very weird all around.

No teammates under Diamond will shoot it at all, and above Diamond it takes years just to kill it, when your focus could be on the payload/point. Focus on the point and Hela destroys you, focus on Hela and the other team gets a great distraction to take point/rush your backline. It redirects focus if you try to kill it. Just hiding, which in of itself is huge, taking up so much space just from one ult that can 2-3 shot any respectable character. Forcing a counter-heal ult is insane as well, so just to counter one Hela ult you have to use one of the most broken ults (in Luna or Mantis), which could've been used at any other, more useful time. Yes, strange COULD counter it, but for 1, it's unreliable, for 2, the Hela could've ulted farther back so the Strange can't block much, for 3, if the strange DID get on the Hela to block, the Hela could just... turn around and shoot somewhere the Strange isn't blocking? It's such a crazy ult, if you think it's bad you've probably only seen it being used wrong.

Personally, the only thing this game needs is more servers. I know United States has 3 servers, and I understand why. But for South America, is literally one server for pretty much the whole continent, and is half the server speaking Portuguese and the other half speaking Spanish, it makes communication extremely difficult, even more when the Brazil players tell you "go play in your server" and you have to explain that literally THERE IS NO OTHER SERVER FOR US (Chile, Argentina, Uruguay) TO PLAY. And like I said, I understand why is this, because Brazil has the money, and spent more money on skins than the rest of the continent. But still, it makes communication in ranked extremely hard, I have to talk in English to Brazilian players.

Honestly, i feel you. Im a Brazilian playing on Brazil, we normally got 1 server for the whole country and thats mostly fine except when i remember its actually for the whole continent. The only game ive ever seen having a server for hispano and another for luso was Valorant even CS dont have that and both are pretty communication focused and strategic games. Also, it sucks you are shoved aside by my countrymates, sorry for that, i mostly dont care whenever i find someone out of Brazil but it is indeed a bit troubling when not being able to use VC or to communicate properly with my teammates, but even with both Portuguese speakers its kinda hard to make someone actually listen😅 But yeah, separate servers. PLEASE. And i speak both English and Spanish, but not much on the latter, but its still difficult regardless

Normally I would agree the official patch notes are accurate. But these are the same guys who left so much stuff about the abilities out of the in game descriptions. Like for example with Thor it only says his bubble gives you Thor force, and it doesn't say that it also does damage and slows enemies. I did the math. His previous max falloff was 65% of 70 dmg, or 45.5 dmg. Now his max falloff is 60% of 75 dmg, or 45 dmg. It's virtually unchanged at max falloff, and way better at every other range. As a Bucky main (when I get to play duelist) I'm excited, but I feel like it was unnecessary.

Wolverine actually got a nerf, now he has about 585 effective health with his dmg reduction, instead of a full 600. And it's even worse with his passive, going from 900 (300 + 600) total health and 1800 effective health to 950 (350 + 600) and 1585 effective health. That's a 215 health drop, which is fairly significant.

I'm not understanding how you got those numbers. Wolverine has 300 health gets an extra 300 (assuming max rage) -> 600 health +50% damage reduction = 1200 effective health. This changes gives him 350 health + 300 (rage) -> 650 health + 40% damage reduction = 1067 effective health. That's 133 less health. I'm not saying it's not a nerf. Just confused where the numbers were from. I am also confused by this "buff" but I'm assuming the idea is he's getting more of his passive since he has more health to continue fighting effectively reducing its cooldown.

I do agree with you 100% Flats. Storm is just a character that people didn't learn how to play yet. The same thing that happened with Wolverine. Most people I see uses Storm as some kind of Iron Man, while she's meant to be used the closer to the floor possible (every 1v1 against another Storm I win, because the other player is flying very height and doing less damage). She has that bubble around her, and if you get too height from the floor, that bubble "doesn't touch" the terrain anymore, and the character itself does way less damage. She's meant to be used in the backline along with the other supports. I read a full deep guide about Storm from a GM player, and it literally was like a buff on the character itself. Started to do damage like crazy and ended up 27k on a gold lobby. She didn't need that buff but is still gladly welcomed.

My thought is that maybe at the moment her ult goes through defensive abilities if her image is already moving towards the person and this is supposed to fix it, in more words I believe currently if you apply a shield bubble or even do a Cloak fade while Psylocke's ult 'image' is already moving towards the player then the ult will still damage the person regardless, and this is supposed to make it so if you apply the shield during that odd timing then you'll be safe. @@phanquan9470 look I have a ton of hours into him and have learned the combos required, he has a lot of potential and is very difficult to pull off but he runs out of cds constantly just by moving around. His one shot without venom is insanely hard to execute and involves a lot of animation cancels to cheat out moves and which in of itself is hard, but also is inconsistent af. He usually has to drive by and do some dmg then re engage to finish a kill, but he simply runs out of resources a lot of the time to make the second engage and get out safely. I play magik and panther and they just never run into this issue at all and can consistently one shot and have sufficient escapes.

Throw in a Mantis and you've got strats such as: •Mantis Inspire + Storm lightning boost on a teammate to help them melt people •Storm wind aura boost with Cap and Thor to rush in and wreck the backline •Loki gets a lot of good ults to choose from (Storm Hurricane, Cap Rally, Mantis heal field, and CC immune ults via Hela/Thor) It's really looking like a solid team (at least on paper) this coming season, so I'm looking forward to it.

The part of "shielding psylocke ultimate" I think is because psylocke's ultimate checks for entities to slash around, like loki clones, and it has like a set amount of slashes, so if u cluster a lot of entities inside the ultimate it won't kill/deal more damage to everyone. This patch is very concerning for the future of balance for this game. The main issues/concerns are going ignored essentially (Hela/Hawkeye), meanwhile supposedly black panther is such a problem that he is getting a fairly large nerf along with one of the best teamups and counters for melee/dive heroes (Namor/Luna) getting massively buffed. Cloak and Dagger for whatever reason also getting gargantuan buffs. Luna/Mantis more or less untouched? But then at the same time they have massively great things, like Thor no longer getting ripped out of his ultimate. Storm becoming much much better, squirrel getting a more consistent ultimate (I wish it wasn't auto aim and instead just made it cover a wider area and maybe increase the speed). Jeff ult no longer teleporting people out of the sky, just many many very wanted and great changes. It's so odd and it feels like we can't really pinpoint why some things are being addressed and some aren't. To me overall this is very concerning for the future of balance. Marvel Rivals since launch has been nothing but W after W, they've been absolutely cooking at every single turn. With this balance patch though, I feel they've had their first major hiccup. (Excluding the massive server instability)

Anchor buffs should only be active when the team-up is active. It's kind of stupid that it isn't like that. Hawkeye and Hela are still gonna be must-pick/ban. The Wolverine Change is not really a Buff. Its more of a change, so he can survive outside of his "E" a bit more, but when he dives in is easier to kill. I think thats a good adjustment, so you can actually flank more often and do no have to retreat when you got hit with like 20 dmg, but if you dive now, you can get focused better, so you can hijack people that easy

Why does Wolverine need the change? His ability to shred through tanks is really strong and gives him a unique identity, it'd just be a nerf to people who play to his strengths. Scarlet witch had her tank damage nerfed because it was completely irrelevant by comparison, losing it in favor of hurting squishies more is a net buff for her.

⁠​⁠@@squiddler7731 also i wouldn’t reeeally call it a nerf to tank damage, together with the flat buff by 10 dps you still do the same amount of dmg against a 500 health hero, and against groot with the highest hp in game (I believe?) you lose out on 4 dps, so 81 instead of 85… together with the +5 dmg buff to the secondary and 0.8 shot recharge with the drain I believe it’s effectively the same dmg against 700 hp and a better scaling for everything below that

Ngl panther nerfs seeming came out of nowhere, cuz his pick rate is already low, but I think it make sense with the thor stor cap meta over the horizon

His pick rate is low because he's a high skill character that's not as glamorous as spider man. However for those who have played him, the results from reaching that skill floor was incredibly disproportionate to that of other high skill characters. A good BP currently will take out your support before they have time to blink, that's not exaggerating, and then turn on the rest of your team with refreshed abilities and over 400 health. I admire the skill needed to pull it off consistently, but it was broken what they could do.

@@jeffcastor9509he's high skill floor extremelly low skill ceiling. he is not hard to play, give anyone an hour with him and they could play him in diamond easily. he's picked in high elo because its safe, hella damage and movement. nerf necessary

I need someone to please explain how Wolverine is broken like some people say. Dont get me wrong. I've had some 23 and 3 games with Wolverine or even some good 10 and 3s, but that only happens if he has a pocket healer or the enemies dont know what to do against him. I also dont understand y a dps hero does high damage to tanks but gets one v one by every dps and some statagists. The only way he wins the one v one is if he has his second life or if he lands the grab and by some miracle the person you grabbed dosent have an out to you like lunas freeze, mantis's sleep or legit every dps with a dash.

The biggest hit from the nerf hammer goes to Black Panther 😢 unacceptable how they did my boy. As a dive dps he was PLENTY squishy enough and already left no room for error The Hulk nerf is sneaky significant as well.

Brother was not squishy at all He has 300 hp and gets even more from his shields If you can’t 180 flick around you don’t get to shoot him. Even if you did manage to shoot him, all you managed to do was make him do more damage, because he still sustains himself with his shields.

yeah no he needed it, he was basically unkillable when he dives healers since they cant do 300 damage in the time of a split second flick

I always thought that an anchor needed one of the other team up members to get their seasonal buff.
