I think you're looking at it the wrong way. Customers should KNOW BETTER and avoid the foods that are bad for us, thus forcing food producers to produce quality food via higher standards. There is no need to use a government institution as our babysitter, especially considering how prone to corruption any entity becomes with such regulating power. Don't forget that an educated populace is what generated demand for new brands that actually paid attention to health and ingredients.
@ashleylala42935 жыл бұрын
None of our regulatory agencies are doing their jobs anymore. They are fully owned and controlled by the very corporations they were supposed to regulate. Funny how that happened and even funnier how no one gives a crap. That’s why there have been vaccines that were literally contaminated with broken glass. They have zero liability, why would they bother making them safe? And in the case of contamination, they don’t bother to pull product or notify the patients that received the contaminated batches. It’s a sad state of affairs, the greed has completely taken over the country.

Trader Joes has been around for 40 years here in CA. I've got some inside scoop..... 75% of their products are made by natural and organic companies from the natural foods industry; ie: Amy's Kitchen frozen foods, Annies Mac n Cheese, Tofuti, Barbara's Bakery makes most of their crackers, etc......TJs slaps their cute labels on those products. You can find most of the exact items in WFMs and at natural/gourmet markets at a much higher price.

Its been a long while since I bought this item but thought I might share what I did with it: cook chicken enough to really crisp it to hold up to sauce. Then add a bit of leftover cooked chicken ( not breaded ) to stretch the sauce thus its not overly sweet. Toss in some frozen sliced bell peppers ( also from Trader Joes, and frozen broccoli if desired . Pineapple works well in lieu of added veg ). Finally I would add either cashews or sprinkle sesame seeds over top before serving.

It's true. They make deals with makers to repackage it under their own label. The makers love the volume of products they can push. That's how they keep the prices down. In fact, that's how they grew their brand - "Trader". I found out long ago when they changed out my fav dark chocolate bar for their label.

I'm not sure if people know this but Guar Gum, Used in so many foods Deactivates Metformin. The most commonly prescribed diabetes medication. They sneak this into everything from sugar free gum, ketchup & several of the items in this video. The crazy thing is that Benifiber IS Guar Gum. The label at the store does not say that is what it is. On the packet used in the nursing home that I worked at as a charge nurse, says that it is 100% guar gum. My doctor suggested I use this as a fiber supplement and wanted me to take metformin. The doctor didn't know...

My friends and I use to get kicked out of biker bars and Bobby and Art get kicked out of Trader Joes. Bobby is gangsta. There is no stopping him. I wonder if they recognize him when he comes in the store. Oh, no, there is Bobby again with his camera.

You seen together a few of your products at once so that you can go right from one to the other. What I do appreciate is then you go back and put them where they belong. Fingers crossed you won't get caught next time you go!

Hey FlavCity! WAY better TJs Shashuka: Been making the easy version for years. Its damn yummier, more authentic tasting and cheaper than the "starter kit" version. +The kit tastes weak and uses more packaging! -1/2 jar of Arabiatta Sauce. -2 eggs Heat skillet (add a little fine olive oil and fresh cloves of garlic if you care). Add sauce and cover with lid till its near bubbling hot. Drop-in raw eggs, spacing them apart to maximize surface area coverage. Cover and simmer until poached. Voila! The stuff they serve you in an iron skillet in Isreal and Yemen has amazing peppers, stewed forever before adding the eggs at the end. It takes longer than most dishes, sometimes 45+min to your table. The jar of Arabiatta sauce is a close 2nd! Fast, cheap and spicy enoughish! Eating alone and quickly, I could use less of the sauce, and stretch a jar to 3 or 4 meals of it, but the whole point is that there's enough sauce to poach the eggs in. Try a smaller, deeper skillet like a small sauce pan. :)

I really do like these videos and I learn a lot from them. The only constructive criticism that I have is that out of respect for the other shoppers I'd blur them out. Unless you talk to each and every one them that passes by and ask for their permission, I feel like it's an invasion of privacy. For me personally I wouldn't be too happy to be recorded without my permission. Other than that like I said I really do enjoy your videos keep up the good work ☺️

🤭 my face after seeing non Bobby Approved products in this video that I’ve purchased and eaten. Really appreciate your videos and knowledge drops!

Try their frozen latkes. It’s something that’s too time consuming to make. I have those with apple sauce and sour cream. Very easy to prepare and good.

I don’t know if I’m cursed or if I’m just a rice snob, but the frozen rice from TJs (both brown and jasmine) has literally never worked for me. I follow the instructions, and have tried it in multiple microwaves to no avail whatsoever. I have plenty of experience making rice in the standard way. I admit im picky and like to do it carefully on the stove rather than using a rice cooker or heating up bags of Uncle Ben’s. I honestly have gone crazy as every review claims that it steams perfectly, is sticky and fluffy, etc. i have NEVER had it feel even the slightest bit tacky. It’s hard and watery and terrible. If I heat it longer, it turns into a soggy mess. What can I do? as a rice lover who would love a convenient way to heat up pre-frozen rice without ruining it, I want to be able to make this food and I need help!!

Really useful video, thanks! Perfect For folks like me who are Joe’s newbies and get a little overwhelmed, definitely going to rewatch and write down all the recommendations.
