@FlavCity with Bobby Parrish : I was just wondering...are you filming there in Trader Joes with an actual "camera" or are you using a cell phone? I saw another vlogger do this and the Dollar Tree threw her out and she asked the manager there why they didn't make the other customers leave who were using their cell phones to record what they wanted? The manager's reply to her was, "We cannot tell people what to do with their cell phones, but we cannot allow actual "cameras" in here". What are your thoughts on this???

As a college student Trader Joe’s is so nice if you’re broke. Their salads have saved my life for as little as 2.59 each salad bowl and they are so fresh! 🥗 and their pasta is .99 cents. Most of their veggies are very inexpensive too. Our budget for both my boyfriend and I for 1 week is 35 dollars. They also have chicken legs pack for 2 dollars. Also check the 1 pound of ground turkey for 2.69 😻 (as you can see if it costs over 3 dollars we don’t buy it Hahahah) for coconut milk Dollar Tree has each can for a dollar 😊

From an old retired English teacher who can't lay down the habit - if it's countable say fewer, but if it's not countable, say less. Example - This recipe has less milk, so it has fewer calories. Or this example - Since I used fewer tablespoons of milk in this recipe, it has less liquid. In this sentence, it's the quantity of tablespoons that are being counted, not the amount of milk. Since tablespoons are countable, fewer is the correct choice.

I just bought the same TJ coconut milk yesterday and it states the ingredients: Organic coconut milk, (water, & organic coconut). By the way, my coconut milk is always located on the top shelf at my location in Orland Park. They must place their items per how popular they are and sell per location in the store. I make my own cauliflower pizza crust from scratch using TJ Cauliflower Rice and their sometimes I mix their Broccoli Rice using half and half located in their refrigerator section to your left when entering the store. I use Chef Buck’s technique by putting the veggies in a skillet to cook the water out of it first and low and behold my crust held up without having to eat the pizza with a fork! Chef Buck’s and I have a similar recipe; however, I do season my crust with Italian spices and hard Asiago and Parmesan cheeses. Thanks Bobby for that information about the Tahini sauce from TJ, I wish I knew about it a few buys ago. I was making Hummus dips without the Tahini sauce and she said it was good and she asked about the ingredients and I left out the Tahini sauce that was missing and when I looked for it I had chosen TJ over WF’s brand because it was cheaper in price; however, my Hummus taste better with out their Tahini sauce. I do remember making Hummus for the first time using Tahini sauce that my daughter left on my pantry shelf and I believe it came from a speciality store and I started tweaking the recipe by using different beans and adding avocado to the recipe, etc, that I totally forgot about the Tahini sauce until she had mentioned it. Yes, TJ’s Tahini sauce was not all that!

So I did purchase these on Amazon (9 oz for about $11-12.00). I've learned so much from, Bobby, when I go shopping now. I found almond "Malk" (milk) for 50 cents at a discounted supermarket - I bought six of them it tastes great, organic, cold-pressed, no bad ingredients.

365 Whole Foods tahini is not good quality either.. Lebanese and Palestinian brands are far better than the Israeli and Greek tahini's. Makes sense cuz that's where hummus originated :) Can usually find some good ones at your local middle eastern store or even at Walmart. Tahini is also the base for 'halvah' which is frickin DELICIOUS if you haven't had it! Pick some of that up if you're at a Middle Eastern food shop
@Jenvlogs4047 ай бұрын
No one place where it really been linked, but it was historically important in the region for kosher diets, had family work in those grocery stores and regulations don’t exist, quality can’t be traced or mentioned at all but unique and different tastes of tahini sure but not the same as quality or the 365 is way safer.

Very helpful, great video. My favorite thing to get at Trader Joe's or the Oatmeal and Juices they're packed with more nutrients than any other store I found. Also great water

It’s so tricky. Should I buy organic beef or 100% Grass-Fed beef that is NOT labeled organic?
@BobbyParrish6 жыл бұрын
100% grass fed is better..grass is better than corn fed
@lzshow6 жыл бұрын
What is organic beef? How is that even possible
@ExtraordinaryLiving6 жыл бұрын
@@lzshow It simply means the cows are fed organic feeds ... not specifying what the feeds is ... could be organic grains, organic corn, etc.

@@BobbyParrish All the grocery places are within 3 miles radius. Folsom, CA. We even have Sprouts right across from Trader Joe's. Quite convenient. I cook for a living, a one person kitchen, not a job anymore. I go to play with food every day!😀

80% of my shopping is from TJs and I recently got a Costco executive card (one of my fav web design clients put me on her company card). Big fan of all your vids Bobby and wow last night at Costco I came across the Kirkland Apple Cider vinegar 3 32 ounces for $6.50!! The Braggs is $11 each for that size 🙌🏻⚡️❤️💪🏻🎉

The only place I've found that beats Trader Joe's on macadamia nuts is publix , you get more for the price at publix but other than that Trader Joe's beats it on everything else

Hi Bobby, hello from Dallas, Tx! Just found your channel yesterday afternoon & I'm so glad I did! The timing couldn't have been better. In the New Year my resolutions like so many others are to lose weight, eat healthier, cook more at home, & try Keto. My husband lost 20lb last spring on it & kept it off. I however have never tried it personally & know if I were doing it also he'd want to do it again & be more successful with my support too. Besides weight loss, I think eating a low-carb diet in general is something everyone should focus on. Thanks for sharing your comparison shopping knowledge & making us more awaare of the many ingredients in food that shouldn't be, & to be weary even if the label appears healthy. Again, that's something everyone can benefit from too. I'd like to see a haul video from Wal-Mart or whole foods. Your Aldi & Costco ones were great! Can't wait to try some of your recipes soon. Happy New Year to you & Jessie, look forward to what you have in store for your viewers in 2019! :-)

Just wanted to add some clarification on the dairy comments in the video. Lactose is, like you said, a sugar in milk and is reduced by some cheese making processes. Casein is actually a protein (like whey) and is not reduced in cheeses. However, some people with a casein allergy are actually only allergic to the casein in cow milk and can eat dairy products from other sources (goat, sheep, etc.) without issue.
