Concerning the chickpea snacks. I make my own with canned chickpeas, nutritional yeast, and aquafaba (the liquid from the canned chickpeas). No oils, no salts, no sugars. And I know what is in it. My children are grown, so I watched this one to find out if it would be helpful for me. I can think of other snacks that children may like. Bananas, grapes, apples, mandarin oranges (just the right size for little ones), homemade sweet potato fries (baked on parchment paper lined baking pan, no oil or anything added), carrot sticks, celery sticks with need to stir nut butter, rice cakes (ingredient- brown rice only) ( spread with previously mentioned nut butter and top with sliced banana). Thank you for this video. :)

The biggest thing I have taken away from bobbies videos is to read the ingredients. I used to think natural flavor was a good thing. After watching, I did my own deep dive and holy crap, he’s right. Has there ever been a study showing "natural flavor" of any type to actually have negative health effects? I also don't understand why Bobby is ok with something like collagen bars - the collagen in those comes from leftover animal carcasses and even fish that undergo extensive chemical and enzymatic extraction to get the collagen peptides. Its not like naturally broken down collagen in a homemade bone broth.

Bobby, don't you worry about the cancer risk of processed meats? I still buy jerky myself, and actually found some really amazing ones at CVS of all places, at least my CVS has really cleaned up their snack section and seems to be catering to people who are health conscious. I do keep my consumption of processed meats though within the guidelines. Basically it is my understanding that they say that any processed meats increase your cancer risk. I really get concerned due to family history. Anyways, Sytryve was one CVS brand, and the other I forget the name of but it was like free-range turkey with a black pepper seasoning and they had it both in sticks and in a bag. I was there at CVS and so wanted to buy watermelon flavored raisins, and I looked at the label and saw the dreaded natural flavors and thought of you. See, we do learn! Instead I scooped up some Emmys Organics organic coconut cookies in the vanilla bean flavor, and they had the cocoa flavor too. I had only ever seen those at Whole Foods before. Stupidly delish and grain both gluten-free and grain-free. Win. Aldi has some great spicy guacamole snacks that are clean too if anyone wants something to go with their chips! Just wanted to add that on as I'm eating that right now with my plantain chips and carrots. YUM.
