@OriginalMasterNAIАй бұрын
Honestly, I was having a bit of a tough time finding the ones you've recommended and some of them you recommended also contains SLS/SLES. To make things easier for myself, I just find whatever is the closest like ECOS detergent. I know that you disapproved it because it has "fragrance", but at least it isn't as strong as the tide detergent you've mentioned. My advice for others who's trying to find a good laundry detergent: Just find whatever's the closest. It's not big deal that it has one bad ingredient like fragrance as long as it's not that strong, it should be good

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate is also in some toothpastes. I used to get SO MANY CANKER SORES inside my mouth. Long-lasting ones. So painful. As soon as switched to a different toothpaste which didn't have Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, my canker sores reduced a lot. Now I only get one 1-2 times per year (like from biting my cheek or lip by accident).
@qll8840 Жыл бұрын
It’s also in shampoo
@shelbynicholson508911 ай бұрын
I just happened to stumble upon this comment. I also struggle with canker sores, sometimes getting multiple in one clip that are painful. I'm currently using crest pro health, upon googling it I see it has the SLS. Just wondering which toothpaste you switched to?
@Lee-fw9mr10 ай бұрын
@shelbynicholson5089 I use "Sensodyne Daily Sensitive Toothpaste, Lasting Sensitivty and Cavity Protection, Fresh Mint 135 mL". I have to use Sensodyne because I naturally have teeth that are sensitive to cold water (no issues with tooth/gum health, many dentists have checked). But Sensodyne only has 1 toothpaste with no SLS. So that's the one I use. I'll bet all the big brands have at least 1 type of toothpaste with no SLS. I'm sorry you have to deal with canker sores. They are the absolute worst. ---- Also, I discovered an INSTANT cure for canker sores recently. It worked for me 3 times so far. There's a product called "Oralmedic Mouth Ulcer and Canker Sore Treatment, Instant Pain Relief". But they aren't making it temporarily, they're trying to find a new manufacturer. This is how it works: It's basically a Q tip that is saturated with a substance that denatures the tissue of the ulcer (sucks the moisture out at a molecular level). It's extremely painful for 1 minute. Worse than the common 'canker sore numbing' agents that sting a bit. This stings HORRIBLY for 1-2 minutes. But the canker sore is immediately 'de-activated' and there is zero pain for the rest of the healing process of the canker sore. ZERO. NO PAIN. The canker sore looks white and the white tissue sloughs off over the next couple of days. This SAVED me. You have to press the Q-tip hard against the canker sore and really rub and twirl the q-tip into the canker sore to make sure you're really denaturing all the tissue (means, you're sucking the water out of the tissue which makes it dead tissue). You might even have to use the same q-tip twice. Do it once, then rinse your mouth out. Feel the canker sore... live with it for 30 minutes... if it's not 100% painfree, go at it again (reuse the same q-tip device, don't grab a new one) and focus on rubbing it precisely where it still hurts. Rinse again. Then breath a sigh of relief... Ahhhhhhhh..... Your misery is over. Unfortunately, they are out of stock temporarily and are changing their manufacturing partner. I found an alternative called "Silver Nitrate Sticks" on Amazon. Apparently this is what dentists use when you complain of a canker sore and they deactivate it on the spot (I didn't even know they did that, lol). I THINK it's the same general idea as the OralMedic product. I haven't had any canker sores yet since buying the Silver Nitrate Sticks but I will let you know if it works, when I use it. I cannot believe you and I have been suffering with the agony of canker sores for years when these 1-and-done solutions have existed all this time. Smh. Okay, let me know if you have any questions. Good luck, my friend! 💖
