I liked this album. I think Coverdale vs. Plant controversy hurt it. A lot of Zep fans hated Coverdale, called him a copy cat, etc. I just listen to the music, try to leave the rest out of it.

I am sorry that Page didn’t seek out Coverdale again after the O2 concert when it became clear that Robert would NEVER tour again as Zeppelin without his mate Bonzo. I understand his emotions and respect them, but I think millions of fans did deserve the chance to hear those classic songs performed live again…..and Page and JPJ were SO frustrated with Robert…and Jason was sure up for it. Wasn’t about the gobs of money………they just wanted to play that wonderful music!

But, it is not Zeppelin without Bonham. Plant always said he didn't want to be in a Zeppelin revival band. Even still, he has incorporated Zep music into many of his tours and with the Plant and Page tours as well. I seriously doubt Page wanted to be in a Zeppelin cover band with Coverdale and other musicians. I had tickets to see a concert when this tour was announced but the show was cancelled due to low ticket sales. i think the tour was as well.

I always liked Led Zeppelin. And Tom Petty and I love the blues and good music and stuff so this was pretty heavy in the sense that I'm embarrassed that I've never heard of these people. But it doesn't mean that I'm not enjoying it now. And I'm like 72 now when it's September 2022. But wow. My goodness. My goodness. I got over this because I was listening to a station on SiriusXM and they played prison blues with Jimmy page and I lost my grip and had to find it on KZbin. I also didn't listen to any Tom Petty when I was younger in the sense of a weird marriage you know raising kids you know the whole bed. So I'm enjoying a lot of music now at my age that I might not appreciate it when I was younger. With age is supposed to get a little more wisdom. And I can why is they say that this is why kick ass compilation here. This is fantastic. I'm slow guys but I eventually caught up with ya. Gail and central Florida Tuesday, September 20 of 2022

JRBL1A1 Simply put my in my top 20 best albums of all time..I believe Jimmy was at his best since 1975....and THE BEST David Coverdale ever sounded to me... I loved his first 2 albums after leaving D.P MK 3 ...I'm a diehard Zeppelin fan but This in my opinion surpassed anything Page & Plant did in the 90's... and it was a wake up call for Plant to get back to being who he truly is... I didn't perceive this as White Zeppelin or Led Snake at all... it was a new RAW sound from the leaders or those two bands...Page's work on this is what he talked about with Zeppelin 3 Light & Shade... The acoustic guitars were amazingly thick and brite! whilst Coverdale was RAW, BLUESY and Rough

Since they removed this from Spotify, this is my go-to for this album. I do own the CD, but I can't find it! Looking forward to the rerelease which David has been hinting. Too bad Coverdale has the reputation for being 2nd man (2nd to Gillian and 2nd to Plant). During the interviews for this album, Page actually defends Coverdale and his occasional vocal resemblance to Plant some times. Coverdale was part of the Holy Trinity as well as Page. But for some reason, most Americans do not know Coverdale was a lead vocalist for Purple, albeit the 2nd (technically 3rd because of Evans) and all they know of him is 1987 where Whitesnake was dubbed as a clone. Secondarily this is a bit annoying to me when seeing Snake shows in USA as they ignore everything pre-1987. I'm at snake shows ready to belt out "Ain't No Love . . ." but sadly, the "Whitesnake Choir" only exists when I am able to across the pond to Hammersmith's. This would be as bad as if Barry Gibb only played disco period songs at his shows and ignored everything before.

For me this LP released in 1993 was epic in my life and the archives of music. Possibly the most underrated recordings ever by a couple of legendary artist' from an era that may never be repeated in modern music. My divorce began in 1990 and this recording of 'Coverdale & Page' helped me tremendously with the option to merge in my highway back onto the correct path. I may say that this material might have been painful for them to write but a possible cleansing or 'reconciliation' of Jimmy Page and David Coverdale's prior memoirs. Yes, this effort is brilliant...

I don't see what Robert was so upset about, this album is so far removed from the Zeppelin sound like Geffen wanted a typical 80's sound even though it was made in the 90's.

I don't think people appreciated this music when it was originally released. Zeppelin hangover? But, to me, it remains the best thing Page has ever done post Zep. Some great stuff!

Put Plant/Page on the album sticker and watch the Zep people drool over this album. A lot of good/ very good material here, and definitely hear the Jimmy Page VIBE all over this record.

Absolutely agree. Coverdale is also amazing on this album! Especially the first tune. Jesus H! . I have to believe robert Plant heard this and went "Oh fuck, I better practice/get my voice in shape" LOL

All wrong. Truth is Plant did had no desire do more music besides Page had. Well he called David how ur doing .. Heres what they came up. Historic sounds.

'Over Now' - destroys. This LP was just short of a 10 - perfect. It came out 3 months after I got slapped with my divorce. I swear to Gawd if it were not for the 'Over Now' and entire LP combined with The Black Crowes, 'Sometimes Salvation' from -The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion-...With out not sure I would have made it and yes all severely underrated. Could not even get buds to listen to 'Coverdale and Page' and I still don't know why because 'Coverdale and Page' still is today - just baddass, kickass, in your face core rock...

Yeah the intro/chorus has the intro vibe to "Aerials",but "Aerials" chorus by The System[what I call them] is actually some of the newest "Big Time" Major Label music to give me the spine shiver, and it's 14 years old.........scary I must be old or really ticked off.no one wanted help[properly] with my music,it's definitely BOTH! Oh well[good song]
