Yeah, it's sentimental bias. When MMLP came out though it changed the culture and put him in the "best rapper alive" convo, but it's not his best album lyrically or sonically. Recovery and MTBMB have it beat on those metrics imo. Overall, the lyrics and beats are better on those 2 albums

@b3a5t89 Жыл бұрын
I personally think it’s a case by case basis. Technically he’s far better than he was, but as far as song impact, it’s debatable certainly. Either way, both old and new Eminem content is top notch.
@ivanwebb7134 Жыл бұрын
I personally think some of his older songs that made impacts is partially because he hadn't made the impactful songs before that. His catalog hadn't developed to what it is now. Now if he makes an impactful now, it's like "oh eminem just made anther dope song with meaning". If that makes sense. In my opinion higher has just as much hype and substance as lose yourself. But wth even better rapping. But it just doesn't hit like lose yourself because of who em is now and context is time period. Just my thoughts.

And in the outro of the song Method says "Word to mother". "She went to check on the noise and go inspect the deck" - The next track on the album after Method Man is Protect Ya Neck. The first verse is performed by Inspectah Deck and his last line is "I make more noise than heavy metal". "Then I jumped out with a sword and yelled "Protect your neck!"" - In the intro of the music video for Protect Ya Neck RZA holds a sword and yells "Protect your neck, kid". Edit: Oh, wrong comment...
